@Golfcart Based on my experience, on the M1 Pro, you need to downgrade your iOS from Ventura back to Big Sur
Gonna hunt for a cheap windows laptop, if I’m unsuccessful, I’ll go through the process of backing up my data to downgrade. Ty for the tip.
I’ve played royals over the years on various Macs over the last several years. And before you go and buy a new laptop I will say that Crossover works much better than Bootcamp and Parallels ever worked to run royals IMO especially with multi-clienting once you actually get it working.
Ye fair. Translation: I am checking personal connections to find one on the cheap cheap (re: free). If that doesn’t work, I’ll revert my OS X.
Can't downgrade to Big Sur on my m1 because it came with Catalina. . It won't let me downgrade to an OS lower than the one it came with. Back to laptop hunting again.
I’m pretty sure Big Sur is after Catalina. If it started with Catalina you should be able to get it back to Big Sur! I think the process of moving from Ventura back down to Big Sur was the difficult thing. But the YouTube movie of some guy doing it that I posted earlier in the thread was what I did.
Oh I miss typed. It started with the one right after (Monterey?). Either way, the later model m1 pro and max can’t go back to Big Sur
Has anyone got MapleRoyals to work on a MacBook Air M2 , Ventura 13.3.1? I have the Maple icon on Crossover, then when I double click, it blinks a few times and just goes away. Thanks!
Im on M1 Pro, Monterey 12.4. I only face this issue when my Macbook is not connected to a monitor. Once connected, Maple launches.
yup, can confirm that before double clicking character to play, you must have your macbook connected to a monitor, in my case i used an adapter to use an hdmi cable to my TV... then it worked, so weird... but hey at least it works, right? *EDIT* only works with big sur btw so like stated previously by a few others, if you have monterey+ you must downgrade back to big sur. *UPDATE* seems to freeze after clicking character now... doesn't work even with screen connected to macbook, hmm...
