I'd prefer dojo rather than boss pq. Boss pq made MapleDestiny all about hp washing and it was stupid. If you didn't level up with like 300 int then you weren't going to be able to participate in the highest difficulty of Boss PQ which gave OP rewards.
Well I mean royals could not do that lol but yeah I think I would rather have dojo over bosspq. But everyone needs to realize that (Correct me if i'm wrong)the staff is focusing on the new source currently, and none of these will be introduced until then if at all.
Imo , a fully washed char is an endgame goal , as like as perfect gears , want OP rewards ? Put some effort into it .
HP washing to 18k HP is not the same as getting perfect gear. You can get perfect gear at any time as long as you have the money whereas with HP washing that much, you have to start adding int from level 1 and your damage would be severely handicapped. We already get enough posts of people bitching about how they have to HP wash to zerk properly or how they have to HP wash to kill HT, etc. How many posts do you think we would get if we added a boss pq that requires 18k HP pre-HB? The endgame of a server shouldn't revolve around being HP washed as fuck. It's a stupid idea.
Lmfao ok My idea of bosspq was far different then destiny. BOSSPQ in royals would contain less op prizes or mayb op prizes for tons of points. Its just another way to keep u busy and have fun on the server.. Nothing to make u crave spending nx on ap resets or damage. A bosspq thats balanced for all classes with moderate prizes is whats ideal for this server.
I think the boss pq should be hard, but shouldnt require 18k hp on a nightlord. Theres one thing that I love to do on Maplestory, and that is bossing. If a bosspq was added it would be incredible, even if the rewards arent great. People would still participate in the bosspq a lot. It would never be dead content.
BossPQ could be a good addition but it has to be done right. As was mentioned before, there technically is a BossPQ already, the Mu Lung dojo. Because the Mu Lung Dojo is official content, it fits with the MapleStory feel and the idea that you can't use pots also adds to the challenge. If a BossPQ would ever be implented in Royals, it should definitely be in the style of Mu Lung Dojo if not the Dojo itself. What I definitely wouldn't want to see is a BPQ in the style of most other servers which is basically just random bosses on a random map. The problem with this version is that it looks very unpolished and doesn't fit with the feel of Maple Story, imo it is to custom to work in an enviroment like Royals.
Bumping this thread cause of the new patch coming this monday! Hopefully the new source? c: Video links to cwkpq for each of the classes posted below besides mages. Couldn't find a video related to the mage one. Spoiler: Pirate Guide Spoiler: Archer Guide Spoiler: Thief Guide Spoiler: Warrior Guide
Dragonriders PQ could also find a home here. If anyone has played it, it was pretty interesting. With this and CWKPQ, what is it with people saying they wont play it again? Exp for bosses can be adjusted to be competitive in line with the current boss setup (plus the idea of bonus CWKPQ stage as stated above). The level to enter LHC is 115, so skeles will be far from obsolete. In terms of training, ToT was already empty and would actually become more populated once PB is a boss, irregardless of LHC because the 999 quests are required.
Bump for that hot LHC leveling post 120 is a pain for most classes accept mages not to mention bossing is boring for some people. You dont even have to add bonus party exp just keep the same 4x rate and people will still want to party to kill faster. Will be a great place for people to become more social at least from what i remember when LHC first came out it is where I met most of my friends in Maple when i was a low lvl bishop HSing people.
If not LHC, add party play to ToT? And if not Boss PQ, add Boss PQ effects to Dojo in some way? That way it's the old school content with that new school twang to it and to me that's the sexiest form of anything.
