As most players should know, 10 INT gain 1 extra MP when leveling up. This is due to the MP requirement for the mage class. However, The Nexon developers forgot to limit to the mage class only and separate the HP and MP pools which create the HP Wash we use now in this server and back in the day. HP wash is optional and there're HP quests for higher levels. But since HP Wash still exists on the server, could it be improved? HP Wash is using INT to gain extra MP, what if it is using other stats as well? I would like to suggest being able to use all the stats as well to gain extra MP. If using all the stats to gain extra MP, the extra MP players received would be much more than right now. Thus, the extra MP gain can also be reduced to balance the mechanic, such as 10 LUK = 1 extra MP. For example, if a player has 4 STR, 22 DEX, 4 INT, and 43 LUK (Thief), it would have 3 extra MP when leveling up. ((20+40)/20) This way players don't need to put points to INT that is totally useless or unable to play the characters until they remove INT to their class stats. They still need to invest Meso for APR (which still helps early-game and all players' income from NX) if they decide to HP Wash.
Beside I am very sure about 10 INT = 1 MP, at least for all non-mages. Beside this improving different things I would support. I do not support this specific suggestion you are making. In general if people say "It would crash the APR market!" I say "Fuck them, fuck that market." Accesability and improved retainment for new players should have 100% priority for any update on Royals. Better/more alternatives to HP-Washing could allow everyone to gain more acces to more profitable end-game content and potentially reduce the neccesity for new players to vote for APR to have a shot in this game. Also this game has a extreme generalization on one stat, Watk. That has caused a vast majority of all value increasing items (scrolls) and high-level gear such, as gloves and boots, to be near worthless. Regardless that for most the perceived value of stats is lower than given credit for. (Can check my near-unreadable, chaotic guide in my signature that I need to remake one day) I am very supportive of changes that could increase the values of any non-watk stat. As of now, at least most INT-Scroll are worth something. The reason why I am not supporting this. Is that I think the neccesity for HP-Washing is fairly bad Game Design in general and that there are many better suggestion made in the past. It does serve as a gatekeeper for end-game content that inflates the value of the resources given by this content due to scarcity. HTP for example. There are many other HP-Washing alternatives suggested and implimented. What you are suggesting would massively inflate a player's value, making a lot of content even more trivial easy than most already is. I am all for it to discuss anything about HP-Washing that can improve it. I am interested in any discussion that would improve the chances for new players to be able to viably play a non-mage class. Regardless there are better options than to simply inflate everyone's HP or improve the value of non-INT Stats. Not designing content for wich you need 10k hp or more. Implimenting more alternatives to HP-Washing. Creating more viable end-game gear that increases HP. Fuck it. Even the playing field. give everyone +1k HP and/or +1k MP at 4rth job. Increase MP by level up without changing minimum MP formula's Changing the formulas and effectiveness of (fairly underated) w.def and m.def, in addition to viable means to gain these. I might make a suggestion for this, once I can be bothered enough. One of my favorites: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/add...-completed-monster-card-set-completed.208928/ Increasing effectiveness of stats by changing damage formula's. I might make a suggestion about this in the future as well. Honestly, I do not think we need massive changes to HP-Washing. Whatever your opinion is, it's here to stay and would likely be there until Nexon drops a cease and desist on this server. There are many good options suggested that are much more nuanced than this what you are suggesting that could improve the general situation more.
