    Hello!

    What do you mean?
I am trying to understand how exp works in this game. The answers to many of these questions exist in various parts of the forum, but there are so many details it is hard to keep it all together.

    Things like:
    1. What is the maximum level gap for characters to get exp from a kill that they did not touch?
      1. Supposing a higher level character kills the mob (e.g. a 120 bishop kills a lvl 113 Skelosaurus)
      2. Supposing a similarly leveled character kills the mob (e.g. a 35 warrior kills a lvl 85 goby)
    2. How does progressive exp work?
    3. What are the party play exp bonuses, and how do they work?
      1. In general, with multiple party members attacking regular mobs.
      2. In special party play places, like Lion Heart Castle (LHC)
      3. Does Holy Symbol (HS) or 1.2x affect the exp gained here?
    4. What are the rules for doing damage to a mob, and then leaving? (e.g. a f/p mage poisons a map, changes channel, and then another character finishes the kill)

As I have read thru the forum & talked to people in game, I have pieced together a lot of these, but i'm still unsure on a few others.
    I'll post what I know

      1. Supposing a higher level character kills the mob (e.g. a 120 bishop kills a lvl 113 Skelosaurus)
        1. Answer: A party member must be a max of 5 levels under the mob that is killed to get experience. (e.g. a lvl 108 character will get exp from the Skelosaurus, but a level 107 character will not)
      2. Supposing a similarly leveled character kills the mob (e.g. a 35 warrior kills a lvl 85 goby)
        1. Answer: All party members a max of 5 levels under the character who killed the mob will get experience. (e.g. a level 35 warrior kills a level 85 goby. A level 30 party member would get exp, but a level 29 party member would not)
    2. How does progressive exp work?
      1. ??? Not sure. Is this exp table up to date?
    3. What are the party play exp bonuses, and how do they work?
      1. In general, with multiple party members attacking regular mobs.
      2. In special party play places, like Lion Heart Castle (LHC)
      3. Does Holy Symbol (HS) or event exp bonus affect the exp gained here?

      1. Answer (source): For the person who originally did damage to get exp if a leechar does the last hit, they need to be in the same party and channel as the damage is happening.

    1) If you do damage, you get exp proportional to that damage. That exp can be shared between party members that are at least (your level -5) or higher, or (mob's level -5) or higher. If you're not in a party and get the last hit on a mob, you get 20% of its exp.

    2) What's progressive exp? The amount needed to level up? If so that table is accurate

    3) There's the active party exp bonus, which takes people killing mobs actively. Not sure if HS affects this. LHC bonus exp is based off of each party member dealing some amount of damage to the mob: each party member after the first who tags that mob with enough damage (might be just 1, might be more IDK) will give some amount of bonus exp based on the mob (I think bonus exp per extra tag is ~50% of the mob's total exp? Not 100% sure). LHC bonus is NOT affected by HS, and I believe it's inconsistent which 1.2x/1.5x events boost it.

    4) Leaving the map I believe means that exp just disappears. Dying will distribute exp among the living party members in that map, although I'm not sure at what rate.

    2. Progressive exp - this server advertises "progressive rates", which as I understand it means you get more exp the higher level you get so the earlier levels are still fun and challenging.

    3. Interesting, so some events boost the party play exp?

    4. Interesting. The post @Kheb explains this some.

    2) I think they just mean that it's not awful 1x rates, and a couple mobs have had their exp adjusted

    3) No idea about the regular party bonus exp, but LHC occasionally gets boosted. You'd just have to test and find out for any given event.
