    Dear players,

Many of you have spoken to the staff both in the past and recently about the seemingly inconsistency of bans regarding language/slurs/what have you. After a long discussion amongst all of the staff, the following distinctions and clarifications have been made.

    Racial/Homophobic terms:
The rules on use of the n-word and homophobic slurs will stand as follows: Words such as the n-word, language historically synonymous with its intent, and variations of the word are not allowed to be spoken megaphones. Please keep these terms to yourself and your friends as not everyone may share the same view as you on these words and it may cause unnecessary offence. The usage of such terms in megaphones will constitute in a ban. There are plenty of other words to be used to "greet a friend" or whatever other reason you may have for using the above terms. The usage of these terms in public places such as the FM is also prohibited.

    Sexual Language:
In addition, graphic language of a sexually violent nature OR descriptions of sexual acts are not allowed in megaphones please keep this to yourselves in private if this is something you desire to talk about.

    Swearing/Cursing:
General cursing is allowed in all chats and megaphones but please try to keep it in context and to a minimum where possible. Users obviously abusing this rule will be banned. E.g. Spamming curse words for no apparent reason.

We understand the precedent on this has not yet been established. Therefore, all acts prior to this shall not be acted upon, but will be from here on out.

If a staff member finds you in violation of the above, you will be banned for your offense. This IS your only warning. Since players were complaining about the double standards, these terms will be bannable regardless of context. Hopefully, this serves as a more clear outline of what the staff will and will not ban for with regard to these two previously "controversial" rules.

    Regards,
    MapleRoyals Staff
