So right now my character is a Lv. 30 F/P Wizard. I needed LUK for some equips so right now I have 33 LUK and 131+1 INT. Should I bother to continue putting in LUK or should I just stop and become low LUK? At this point I can't be LUKless unless I get AP resets... but it's my main/first character so I don't exactly have too many funds. What would be the better option? I don't mind being low LUK because I'll have some equips at least.
Don't add LUK anymore. The end-game Wands don't require LUK, and since INT has a lot of impact for Mages (1 INT = 1 Magic, so losing 60-80 INT from AP in LUK would mean losing 80 Magic [Attack]), you should be LUK-less. You'll have the NX/money to reset those 29 LUK anytime soon, anyway, and if not, it's useful for wearing low-level equips with a high base INT to scroll.
From my Ice/Lightning Guide. I would make a new Mage because of all that Luk. That can easily be 5+ levels of Magic that you would be missing out on.
I stopped adding LUK. Level 35 now with 33 LUK. I'm kind of attached to this character now... wouldn't it be feasible to just do AP resets later on? I don't have any LUKless items nor the funds to get LUK scrolled items at this point.
Endgame equips don't require LUK. Just go full INT. If you really don't want to restart your character, you can buy resets with meso/NX. Just know that it's going to be a long and tedious route, and may end up taking 2+ weeks just to remove your LUK.
Still? With the new source update some classes are getting buffed and I'm guessing F/P will be one of them. If so, wouldn't Elemental Staff be better than Elemental Wand because it has more attack speed?
buying 29 ap resets is ALOT of money lost. 290m in market value mesos or ~90k nx which would take 12 days of voting to build up. getting to lvl 30 again should only take a few hours on the other hand. personally, i'd remake the character :/
I think that reply would've helped her a lot more if it wasnt 1.5 months after she said that ^^ judging by her sig she's at least 6x now and may not have all the time in the world to relvl the character
It could be if you tried extremely hard to get the best possible Luk/Int bonus items like 22/22 Zakum Helmet, 28/28 Horntail Necklace, 8/8 Almighty Ring, various Mage Gloves/Shoes. In my opinion, it's not worth it because you'll need to spend an enormous amount of money just to scroll everything and takes forever to find all the gear to scroll in the first place and, after a certain point, getting more Magic is pretty useless.
You get like 50 more magic assuming you have godly everything over a Lukless Mage. That won't speed up the kill that much. You're better off investing that money in Onyx Apples and have semi permanent +100 Magic.
I've never bought Onyx Apples, I just APQ for them. Waste of money imo. As for +100 with luk mage equips that shouldn't be much harder than a lukless mage. And sure, you need godly everything, but it'll be more than just 50 more magic.
Well, like Demiosu said, I ended up buying the AP resets. Saving up the NX wasn't a huge hassle for me and I've been inactive due to exams lately so I've been building up some NX by at least voting daily (even if I can't play). Yup, I wouldn't want to abandon my character now. I ended up going LUKless though by getting 29 AP resets. (Actually 30 by accident, but I sold the extra.)
