You are not MAC banned as far as I can see. What message do you get when trying to login?

No message at all... Login button gets stuck...

    A couple of questions:
    • What Operating System are you using?
    • Is it possible that you're playing from somewhere that has parental or school controls blocking the game?

I tried both my desktop and laptop.
OS is Windows 7 Professional on Desktop, and Windows 7 on Laptop
I don't think so since I logged on no problem for a day. The next day I tried to login the button was stuck and the troubleshooting thing said I might have gotten MAC'ed?

    Some additional info:
I've tried playing at friend's place, I've tried restarting modem yet the login button is still stuck. I've even tried making a new account to no avail. So I'm just confused as to what has happened and what I have done to cause this.

Also voted one time (never got to check it cuz couldn't log on after my first log off) and I have regular GMS downloaded if that makes a diff as well. (But they're in diff folders entirely)

I've even tried turning off anti-virus. (It's also on exception list both for scan and real-time)

Can you confirm that you're getting stuck on the login screen itself rather than on the character selection screen?

Yes, I can confirm that, I would show a screenshot, but my login ID would be visible to the public.

If you're failing to get any further than the login screen, it probably isn't a MAC ban. Since you're on Windows 7, it won't be the issue that some people have with Windows 8.1.

Is your friend on the same ISP as you, and is your friend able to login on his/her own account if he/she has one? (Just checking to see if it might be an issue with your ISP's DNS servers)

Also, @Christine - what was the fix that you attempted for him in this thread?

I had assumed it was a regular mac ban so I unbanned him (usually the first step I take with this stuff and it works out, seemingly it's more in-depth than I had originally thought). Also, didn't realize the OP had opened more than one post.

Friend on diff ISP, so I don't think ISP is the issue here.
Do you need my mac address on laptop?

If you could send myself and John a PM with the MAC address on your laptop and desktop and also your home ip address, that would be good. It might be a few hours before either of us are able to deal with it, though, as it's very late at night for both of us. John's most likely gone to bed and I'm yawning my head off!

Just adding this in so that it comes up when searching for "stuck on the login screen": Hotspot Shield seems to have been the culprit in this case, as we disallowed people from logging in with Hotspot Shield on some time ago.
