first: we saw that someone edited money like 30mins after it happened.. so the rpööback wont be long.. maybe 1h + the hacker doesnt want to be top... he just wants to force rollbacks.. cause he buys the items just to drop them and fuk the economy. nothing more

 

im pretty sure the items are dropped so they cant be traced.

 

I hope this is a rollback of 9 hours back

Okay here is the update I can provide. At this time, we know which account/character committed the hack and based on database records we believe we know HOW they actually accomplished the meso dupe. We are currently in the process of working on a patch for this exploit. We do not have an ETA at this time.

I forgot to give the dreaded news of rollback amount.There was about a 20 hour rollback that occurred as a result of this hack. I realize some people may have completed 4th job quests and it is extremely frustrating, but it is quite frustrating for us as well. I spent hours last night poring through code and looking online to find the exploit being used. So the time it takes you to reaccomplish whatever you did on your characters, are probably similar to the amount of time the staff spends trying to prevent this from happening again.

This is also another reason why I encourage EVERYONE to be a vigilante. Sure, one character may befriend the hacker and get free mesos, but there will be a rollback which affects everyone, including you and you will lose those free mesos or items anyway. All you are doing is hurting the entire community. So for the sake of the entire community, if you see something, report it to a GM. You will not be punished for befriending a hacker unless we discover that you were somehow part of the hack yourself.
