Well......I feel ashamed of myself for giving up, and I regret deleting my little Yuri...... I thought too much about the "challenge" and this made me put some pressure on myself.(some kind of Perfectionism or OCD) I hope to play in a more casually and low-key style in Ironman-Mode (but not "challenge",challenges may be over my head) I hope to start all over again with my character IGN: YuriTR by using the same new account. (It's not my main account, no characters in that account but with some NX which I used to use on YuriTR)

Thought it'd be nice to post some updates in this form once in a while, this being #1 The start of a new journey and feeling nostalgic over MapleStory! 'How should I explain to Sera that this is not my first time seeing her? ' - Home sweet home, Kerning City. - Completing Maple Island was more satisfying than I initially thought, also nice that there are some custom quests in MapleRoyals. - This picture was the hardest to make, due to the little time you have since the animation is so fast.. FIRST JOB! - Isn't it funny that in no other town in Victoria Island you have NPC's that change their appearance after a quest? I guess it has something to do with the fact that the Pirate class came later on and developers could do more. - Quick picture for the ladies. Fun fact: when I was twelve years old I got this same haircut on Europe Maplestory. - No wonder nobody liked the Black Mage, he put weird Black Magician beads inside of orange mushrooms and red snails.. I guess this is where it all started. - What can I say, exploring the Maple world with my kitty is the best experience you can have! He even has a cute little hat. - Last picture of the first day! Always nice to see the screenshots that get posted here. Especially fun are the progression montages, whether they depict equipment, quest, boss or level milestones! Pictures are worth a thousand words each, as the saying goes. Brings back some fun memories! Also cool to see 8 Ironmen online at the same time, you are keeping the challenge alive!
Next little Update from me: Since i have been sick for some time now and rl is taking up my free time i haven't got much to report here - BUT i hit lvl 111 today and i just scrolled my 111att Dragon Flame with 60% Scrolls and all of them worked (i won't mention the two bad-att Dragon Flame's which i 30% scrolled, somehow they aren't there anymore :O) Next up is some more Gacha, more grinding (getting slow now, so much pain :/) and some quests i think (no screenshot here, but im at 206/800 quests atm) Also i really love Theosadi's montage as Joong mentioned! nice to see, that this community is pretty much alive and i love to be a part of it! <3 8 ppl online was a blast! Hey, been enjoying this and hoping to join in the guild/discord IGN: IronRice Decided to go Shadower, I think meso explosion and the skill combination will make it quite interesting at progressing/higher levels. Just been grinding quests so far, as this class isn't really good enough to mob for xp for now. Highlight of luck so far : hit a 10% dagger scroll on one of the higher attack Maple Wagner's I farmed from Wild Boars Also doing quests is fun in terms of finding old things. For example - I didn't realize you can get Bamboo hats from Maya and the Weird Medicine quest. It was a fortunate find that'll still be my best hat for another 10-20 levels depending upon luck. Short term goals : farm Hogul for high atk Maple Asura Dagger, about 10 100% Earring Dex scrolls, and some 10% Cape Luk scrolls for a potential upgrade later Long term goals : Earn mesos for bossing XP farming, and figure out how much mesos/what level I can try and solo Zak for a helm Hope to see you all around
Another litte Update without screenshots this time: Havent done much in game lately on my white knight, got a little bit bored when it comes to grinding - so i did some quests and trained my Ironman bandit to lvl 39. Yesterday i tried Headless Horseman for the first time and it was quite fun - not that much progress when it comes to % because finding one takes a while (most of the times) but i got 7% from an 7-8 Minuten run...i think that is ok for now! And i focused on getting Royals to run on my Steam Deck, which now is functioning - a little bit of tweaking the controller settings is left to do then i can fully enjoy it As for Becca's concerns when i asked if it is okay to play on it i also got a solution so i think im safe for this! Next Update here: Finally i decided to do some area bosses and finish the Olaf Quest - This next one will take forever... I also threw a 30% top for STR on my Dark Lucida and it worked, im trying to switch from Overall with 18 Dex to top and bottom. But for that i need scrolls and that's why im grinding at Gallo because they drop Bottom dex 60%. Maybe ill get a better top after i got enough scrolls for a solid bottom who knows Was a bit bored and thought grinding is so slow with my white knight and meanwhile i have been training my Ironman Bandit which now is lvl 43! I think ill train my Bandit to get a little bit distracted when white knight training gets boring again But i think i got my focus back and will grind my way to 120 "soon" Hope to see you all online again <3 Until Next time
Another Little Update (sorry for the crappy quality, cause this was taken from my steam deck with my smartphone ): Got to lvl 112 today, sadly the bottom dex 60% scrolls drop rate is very low or im just unlucky as hell! but i will continue to grind there! An update: So Hogul's have abysmal spawn and drop rates. Went back to questing, and on my 9th Skeleton Soldier dropped a Maple Dark Mate w/ perfect attack. (I proceeded to get a second low-atk one within another 50 mobs too lol) Questing to 70 wasn't too bad, only had to grind for the last level by the end. Was worried when I remembered you need Dark Crystal for 3rd job advance, but luckily Singapore mobs dropped them pretty reliably. Now that I'm in the 70's, feels like I wasted a lot of time looking for gear/weapons since I forgot how you only Meso Explode grind til 120. At 81 so far, no point in screenshots since its all Goby farming. While doing my 3rd job advance I did try out my first hand at Gatcha for end game weapons though... I'll keep my eye out for someone online to see if there's room in the guild. Back to Gobies, and maybe Bigfoot hunting eventually
Omg! Thank you Rice for reminding me that Ironmen need to prepare the dark crystal ores by themselves
