Getting bored of my cleric so deciding to just make an alt for now maybe switch idk but im new so i don't really have any mesos to fund. Choices im looking at rn is NL, Sair, Or some type of hunter maybe. Not sure if will be HP washing doubt it. Just looking at what is fun to play for bossing/PQ's/grinding in general. i like NL but feel so many people have one, sair is supposedly good at 4th job with ship up but knowing me i will suck at it. Hunter got it's cons as well
Marksman is a good choice for no funds since you have no trouble joining boss runs with sharp eyes and have a guaranteed damage floor even with cheap gear with the way Snipe works. Great for solo mobbing/grinding with freeze, puppet, dragon's breath. Single-target damage isn't great but one class can't have it all. Lots of fun and highly recommend
i asked my gf which to pick of the 3 since she don't play MS or know anything about it she picked hunter too XD. guess i will play a hunter will probably play sair after it
Every class has its pros and cons, to choose which class to play it ultimately falls down to your gaming objective and what class do you enjoy. Speaking about finding out the class, my take is don’t just look at what is great about the class, also understand what is not good about the class. Whether if you can accept the cons of the class might be a little more important than accepting the pros. Like for Sairs, if you choose sairs only looking at how cool the skill is, how much damage you can do, but overlook at the constant attention & the weak avoidability, you might get upset when the cons hit you in your gameplay. For MM, if you choose MM only because of snipe, freezes, but overlook at “it’s hard for you to pin bosses like a Bowmaster”, you might get upset when you realise you can’t pin bosses with snipe and strafe. For NL, if you choose NL because it is very versatile, strong DPS in all situation, but overlook at it is relied heavily on SE, you might get upset when you realise you might not be chosen for boss run because there’s no SE for you. so yeah, I would say understand the cons of the class whether if you can accept is much more important than just looking at the pros.
yea sadly with other games that is my issue usually play BiS classes regardless of their cons are or how hard it is. ended up just making hunter i mean i enjoyed my hunter in retail back when i had one.
BiS is a term we use in other mmorpg's particularly WoW since i play WoW for many years. it means Best In Slot ( usually referring to gear though ) so we say Meta as well meaning it's just the current best class/job in that particular patch. I just pug a lot of content thats why so it's easier to get into groups but totally different game and all that
