Hi, Following the suggestion of forum moderator Dave Deviluke, I'm creating this thread to bring up the idea of introducing incentives for Royalers to play LPQ. I'm sure you are well aware that LPQ is pretty much abandoned, and that is a real shame in my opinion, was one of my favorite PQs in old MapleStory. Not only that, I also feel that LPQ was so popular in old MapleStory that lacking this in MapleRoyals amplifies the fact that bringing back the old times is near impossible. I've spoken to a lot of people in-game recently, they all expressed their truthful desire to bringing back LPQ to its glorious days. As everything in life, I assume incentives would make LPQ more popular and would encourage more players to participate. Here are some suggestions I've thought about: 1. Increasing EXP of LPQ (as everyone turns to CPQ to level up faster, there is really no competition here, EXP-wise). 2. Offering valuable drops from the boss at the final stage. 3. Offering another piece of equipment beside the broken glasses, something unique. 4. LPQ requires 6 people, technically, can 5 people still do it? (I don't remember if it's possible, last time I did LPQ was years ago). If it's possible, I would reduce the mandatory requirement to 5 people. 5. Offering a small amount of NX per completion of LPQ. etc. Would like to hear your thoughts please. Finally, fellow Royalers, if you have additional suggestions for incentives, please comment!
You are not alone. So many of us have been pushing for years on end to increase incentives to revive many dead PQs, like LPQ, LMPQ, OPQ, Romeo&Juliet. Despite the last 6 years of us PQers constantly voicing our opinions, it is seemingly more important for staff that the playerbase either leeches or grinds on their own, rather than partyplay and letting us relive our nostalgia. It is also seemingly more important for staff to constantly introduce new cash items and RP items rather than to tweak the pqs (literally even slightly increasing exp gain is an easy, 30 second basic change that will provide more incentives and participation). Look at (a few of countless) of all the cries over the years: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/party-quest-qol-balance-sugggestions.211875/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/party-quest-improvisation.218769/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/does-magatia-pq-romeo-and-juliet-run-often-in-mapleroyals.211941/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/no-one-is-doing-krening-pq.214355/ Hold your breath and don't waste your time. It is futile.
Nerfing or possibly removing CPQ1 and CPQ2 would increase LPQ rates to skyhigh. Fixing party search option would also help players find easier LPQ runs!
1. You may suggest the amount of EXP that should be buffed for LPQ to be on par with CPQ 2. What kind of valuable drops? Feel like it may cause drama if party members fight for it 3. Personally, I think buffing the broken glasses is better since adding another piece of equipment doesn't means it will be highly sought after 4. LPQ would require 6 people to enter, but still possible for 5 people to complete 5. As other PQs do not have this reward, this can seem highly unbalanced for only LPQ to have it Also, a reminder that Ludi PQ has its own unique issues due to the design - requires Thief (Dark Sight) - requires ranged (Assassin/Bowman) - requires Mage (Teleport) - requires an attacker to kill Alishar (assuming the party is level 35~50)
Hello, you may submit your Feedback, or disagree with Staff about how the PQs are adjusted But please refrain from derailing the thread such as encouraging others to not provide Feedback (about how PQs can be improved)
1. I feel that's up for the admins to decide, but LPQ isn't even comparable to CPQ1 in terms of EXP gained. 2. Could be valuable scrolls, Maple weapons, high amount of mesos dropped, etc. In my opinion it wouldn't cause drama, but rather competitiveness and the will for going for extra LPQ runs. 3. That might indeed be a better idea. 4. In that case, I would consider reducing the requirement to 5 people, as they would be able to complete the PQ, and would make it easier to create a party. 5. Perhaps, then this incentive could be brought up as the last and least prioritized option.
My apologies, I won't derail the thread. But as someone who has submitted countless Feedback in and out of game on this very topic over the last 6 years, and having seen minimal effort by staff and actual improvement in this area, while also seeing staff time and time again spend so much of their effort in introducing changes that NO ONE asked for (Getting rid of buccaneer Transform CD, raising Recharge prices for stars, etc etc) that get so much backlash instead, I feel like I can give some well-intentioned advice to OP. This exact kind of thread has been done and suggested 100s + times in the last 6 years including myself and we can discuss all we want but there will be very little, if anything done by staff. I won't advise you to not make these feedback threads as it is derailing the discussion, but take it as a warning who've done what you did, 10s of times for years, having put so much faith in staff over so many years, to have always been neglected as a group (PQers) for "lets introduce new cash items" time and time again.
Is it possible to give every1 in the pt the power to click just as leader at stage 8 (every1 can click in tree pq so). There is a delay between clients. If any1 can click it might speed up stage 8.
As a guy that wants to complete LPQ many times for the nostalgic and for the rewards I can agree with every point you mentioned in the thread. Another way that we can be treated in the LPQ. Since this pq is kinda long and originally appointed for low level players \ new comers that want to gain some mesos in a respectfully method, I would suggest to treat the players with a couple of rewards: 1. Bring each participant between 500-1k nx (random) per run when the user finish the pq. 2. In the bonus stage - put some maple weapons inside the boxes \ level 43-50 weapons that the players can sell to NPC (more mesos for new comers) 3. Make a shop of coins that people can buy Pink\Purple Adventurer Cape after attempting 20 times at LPQ (10 hours of play seems worth 100m at least - 10m\1hr can be great for new comers without the funding to sell leech or gain some good stuff). 4. Add specific drops for alishar (face accessory with +1\2 all stats (not godly system) untradeable ) About the glasses, 2 possible options: 1. Reduce the amount of runs to obtain glasses to 10-12 attempts. Average time per pq is 30 mins, 20 runs = 600mins = 10 hours for 2+ all stats glasses, ROI doesn't seems profit. 2. Increase the stat of the glasses - maybe add 1att\3matt or make it +5 all stats to help newcomers more. With some creativity and thinking from the new-comers perspective that only see how this server becomes MuleStory and based on leeching + hp washing, those advices can help them massively and improve their motivation to play for many hours and try to min-max their new character without investing too much mesos, only put some effort in the account.
I agree with the 2nd and 4th points you mentioned. However, I have some concerns regarding the other points. While I understand that LPQ completion might be quicker for you, it's essential to consider a balance that suits the wider player base. Moreover, I think the current methods for obtaining NX are already quite accessible, with daily rewards of 8,000 NX and boss drops + events. Regarding the NX rewards from LPQ, I believe a lower amount, like 50-80 NX, would be more reasonable to avoid negatively impacting other Party Quests since 500-1000 NX is too much. I also want to address the equipment rewards, as LPQ already provides level 35-50 gear, including capes and earrings. As for Maple weapons, they are relatively easy to farm, which is a positive aspect, me and my friend farmed two maple lama staffs in ant tunnel 1 about 2 weeks ago with no issues really, any low level can farm maple weapons. However, I'm not in favour of introducing coins to buy pink or purple adventurer capes, as this could potentially decrease their value and lead to abuse of the PQ system. Pink adventurer capes are already challenging to obtain, and we don't want to make them too accessible. Regarding the idea of increasing glasses stats and adding 1 weapon attack, I think it could be a reasonable adjustment, considering that some players have already managed to obtain the glasses after 30 runs, or even just making the glasses +2 to +3 all stats wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe lowering For active players, doing 3-10 runs per day with the help of various resources is achievable ( smegas, discord, guild, friends, people in FM ). However, to address the difficulty of finding parties, i suggested a global poster sign for PQs or a party searcher option could be a useful addition. I am fine with the original LPQ; it's a fun part-time thing when you are bored. But I have noticed a big problem with players: Mesos. I think just adding 100-200k random reward for finishing the full LPQ would already help many broke players. That would solve the low levels who beg for Mesos/items, lol.
First of all, thanks for the agreement. In my point of view, new player doesn’t have the ability to make mesos unless he is voting for a while or asking for mesos from players. Gaining 80nx per run, ppl do 20 runs at best =1,600NX which is less than 6m in 10hours. We want to motivate new comers to the game. Gaining 10-20k nx in 10hours is like 60m in 10hrs which seems like 1m per 30mins average . Still quite low in terms of profit. But its good enough for beginners. About the decision of PAC, those are coming out only from Perion\Ellinia Gachapon. Quite rare imo and its level 50 cape with attack that can motivate new comers to play. Maybe the developers can make it untradeable with less slots in order not to hurt the economy. A better idea is gaining “midcoin” coin that can be supplied from mid levels pq (LPQ,OPQ,R&J PQ) and can be converted to untradeable PAC and revive those pqs. And yes, about the glasses - stats should be improved or number of attempts to receive them should be reduced. I wish I could help implementing some ideas
I disagree with reducing the runs to get glasses and buffing LPQ glasses. We already advocated for and got Staff to lower the runs from 35 runs down to 20 runs and the glasses stats from +1 all stat/3slots to +2 (1~3) all stat/5slots. There's no reason to make a low level pq give out a equip that makes mid~end game gear obsolete. LPQ glasses already has good meso value, especially for thieves. Also, LPQ doesn't take 30mins to do...
It takes over 20mins almost every run, and a bad combination of stage 8 can increase the time until you clear. Also if we talk about low level players that play LPQ it should take few minutes to kill in every mob stage.
The Staff are unable to give a confirmation of whether the suggestions will be implemented (for all Feedback in general) But we can confirm Staff do read Feedback (including this thread) and often discuss what's being suggested Personally, I feel there's still not that many inputs on this thread, so I would strongly encourage more inputs from other players about how Ludibrium PQ can be improved (we would like to ensure more voices are being heard before proceeding with any changes)
Suggest give an exclusive buff (atk, mtak, def, mdef, acc, adv, speed, jump and mayb +10% exp, drop rate) after successfully defeat the boss for duration 30minutes~ 1hour when training in near area.
Interesting, I actually feel like there are more than a few logical and practical suggestions proposed on this thread. Plus, it's not that 100% of changes and tweaks implemented in the game were solely influenced by player base inputs and recommendations. Therefore, even if the staff would for example want to have 5 "perfect" incentives before introducing any changes to LPQ, then taking 3/4 of them from this thread and just adding another one of their own is completely plausible.
Yes, cause whatever will be implemented into the game live will require game balancing (brainstorming + testing) (But Staff will still read through the Feedback to see what the community wants) This applies to any other kind of changes such as new content (area/boss) or skill adjustments as well
