Read This: The Worst Mistake I've Ever Made on MapleRoyals TL; DR: Brain farted while reading the confirmation dialogue for white scrolls. Why did it happen? The UI had asked me whether I wanted to use my white scroll. The options were: OK and cancel. I thought to myself: "Oh wait, did I use the right scroll?" because I haven't WS'd in a while and clicked cancel to double check and of course at that point I realized, "Wait, fuck." How to Fix? 1) Remove the confirmation dialogue. I'd rather lose the 500m than to lose billions of mesos on an expensive item. 2) Reword the confirmation dialogue. Change the text to "Do you want to use your White Scroll?" and the options to 'Yes' and 'No'. Obviously I fucked up. I wouldn't ask for a refund despite the poor UI because I should've remembered how white scrolls worked. Long story short, I sunk ~50b mesos worth into this item and I don't want to see anyone else make the same mistake so please consider making this change. If anyone has anything to contribute, please feel free to comment, however, I won't be replying to any of the comments as I just wanted to start the discussion.
Technically "cancel" shouldn't be there. Since no other method of scrolling allows you to re-think once you've dragged a scroll onto an item, it's a done deal. On topic: Cancel was prob some Nexon shenanigan to give people false hope thinking they can cancel the usage of their scroll, so they mess up their item and have to buy more NX for WS f3. Also, I wonder what happens if you dc/altf4 during the WS dialog...
Just a heads up, this doesn't really require a discussion or vote. Everyone on the staff team (to my knowledge) want positive changes to the white scroll UI just as the players do. A lot of the conversation revolves around legendary spirit, but there is a desire to overhaul the entire player-ws interaction. It's just a matter of developer time (client edits.) Maybe if u drag the white scroll it will just pop up a confirmation: Dialogue: If you drag again u can only use it, if u cancel, your white scroll will not be used but the slot of the item your scrolling will be used Confirmation: Okay
