Tutorial: MapleRoyals on Steam Deck (Fully Working!)

After last update isnt working.... mapleroyals does work in bottles, but doesnt start in steam

 

Can anyone confirm that it still works on Steam Deck? Would love to come back to this game if it works on Steam Deck.

 

for me this it not fully working, everything opens but in bottles the royals client won't open up in fullscreen mode - working on that atm.
Does someone know how i can change my keybaord layout for bottles? i already changed it in desktop mode and settings in game mode but when i use an external keyboard it's another layout.
Any help is appreciated!

 

Hello, I actually got the latest version working on Steam Deck using `soda-7.0-9` as runner.

Also, with the latest version of bottles you can now have it automatically add the game to Steam, but you will need to enable Steam Proton Prefixes in the Preferences/Integrations menu for Bottles.

 

Hi all,

I attempted this using the original instructions. I can run the game on desktop side using bottles so I know it installed (I logged in but the aspect ratio doesn’t line up with the screen even if I check full screen in maple).

But my maple.sh does nothing if I try to make it execute to test whether it works on desktop side. When I set it up in steam essentially nothing happens when I click play on maple.sh. Definitely no typos on the original instructions I entered/code.

For jokjok’s advice above the “Steam Proton Prefixes” slider in bottles is grayed out for me and when I click the thing next to the slider it loads a webpage talking about steam “flatpak” or “non-flatpack” with some code lines. I have no idea what to do with that. I know nothing about coding or computers and it’s clearly talking to someone who does. Would it be possible for you to break down the steps to make it work for a complete idiot like me?
