Character Name: Valvetronic Where are you having an issue(s): *In-Game Date and Time when issue(s) occurred (GMT): I've tried a few times the past couple of days, but also today ~30 minutes ago. Details of the issue: When I try to login I get thrown out of the client after character selection. I (mistakingly) made a thread in a different forum but I was redirected here by Tim who mentioned it could be a MAC address issue. I've played MapleRoyals quite some years ago but I had to stop with the end of the mac support. Fortunately there is this thread now: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/m1-macbook-air-crossover-x-mapleroyals-tutorial.212415/. Which I followed and seems to be working for my other account. For that account I can just log in and play the game like normal for all its characters. However when I login with my account that contains my character Valvetronic I am unable to log in with any of the character, I always get kicked out after selecting a character. I've also tried to use a different bottle for that account but that did not solve the issue. As mentioned in the linked thread I am using a winXP bottle so I also don't think the crash is related to the pinned crash which mentions as solution to use Win7 compatibility. What error code were you given(if any): No error, just a crash of the client If it can be replicated, please provide a screenshot or recording of the issue occurring: Not applicable Kind regards and many thanks in advance!
As there's a current server issue that will cause crashes upon using compatibility mode Window 7 with ~servertime, have you turned off the compatibility mode of Windows 7? You may also try turning off the servertime if able to login on another account
Hey Dave, Thanks for your quick reply! I've tried logging in on account A, turned off the clock, and then log in on account B. But account B still crashes unfortunately. I cannot change any compatibility settings as the CrossOver method is running WinXP. If you happen to know of any more things I can try, I'm all ears! It does feel like it is something account specific to me, as my other account is just working normally . EDIT: I'd also like to add that I am not using a VPN, so there shouldn't be anything funky going on on in that regard. Kind regards, Valvetronic
For account specific issue, usually is due to bugged NX/RP gears Will update here if I can think of any other possible reasons
In the meantime I've tried resetting my modem again but to no avail. I can still log on with account A but not account B. I'm still not seeing any kind of error message, perhaps that is due to the fact I am running it via crossover but I don't see any popup. Perhaps I should have made this thread in Character issues instead . If you've had any more ideas @Dave Deviluke , I'm all ears!
Unfortunately, I don't have much knowledge or info on CrossOver or any other windows emulator on Apple You may wish to try the following advice that was written in Royals Discord's mac-users "you need to press enter (on your keyboard) instead of clicking OK, it will greatly reduce the chance of it crashing" Or confirm with fellow Apple users on the crossover thread https://royals.ms/forum/threads/m1-macbook-air-crossover-x-mapleroyals-tutorial.212415/
I tried using only enter but that is not the issue I believe. I think it's really something broken about my account because everytime I select a character it asks me to setup the pic -> re-enter pic -> crash. So my pic is still not setup even after I did that numerous times. (I did not have a pic as I haven't played in a couple of years. On my other account I was also asked to setup a pic and that worked immediately.

I've tried and tried and tried and suddenly it started working ♂️ sorry I can't give a better solution
