Amazing guide , well done ! I'd like to add that there are better ways to kill a Bigfoot ( other than spamming TT)
The math isn't 100% correct, I found out something interesting concerning Bullseye. Damage of Sairs is lower than those numbers. But in essence, the conclusion is still the same. For anyone who actually cares! @LuckyLook enlighten us baby
Great guide guys, gonna be referring to this a whole lot (before I quit in 2 weeks anyway) <3, although, you laying out the cost of hp washing is somewhat depressing considering I have 2m atm LF< easy to read equips improvement table akin to marty's shad guide's one <3
i'd do 20/20 nimble body 10/20 dark sight then use 3rd job sp on dark sight cuz shadow web/shadow meso suck that's just me tho
I mentioned the reasoning for maxing dark sight first, it's completely up to the individual but maxed darksight helps a lot more earlier on. It helps with LPQ, and training, and just overall if you want to explore. The speed penalty is really bad at lvl 10 and it doesnt last very long.
Great guide guys! Any chance you could tack on an abbreviated "Bossing" section like the one in this guide to your Shad guide Marty? Even without pictures, it would be super helpful.
Competent corsairs like @Forsberg can keep their boat up for a very long time during Zakum (never breaking it) and Horntail (losing it once or twice). Keep in mind that even though it's minimal the dismounting and remounting does take away from the DPS dealt. I do believe the damage dealt by Corsairs is a lot more stable than that of Night Lords. Sometimes NLs hit an atrocious low number (non-crit) in their line of damage while Cannon tends to keep the damage more in line. As seen in the example of perfectly geared jobs to make a DPS comparison the Corsair had a (much) higher min-damage and less difference between min and max damage range. I guess it comes down to this: if you're hardcore and you want to deal the highest damage go with Corsair masterrace. If you'd rather do a high amount of damage with less effort pick Night Lord.
^ good summary, Tim. I still have to re-do the math, but yeah, Corsairs are the stronger of the two, just harder to play/fund (less item availability, too!), as is mentioned in that section of the guide. A Corsair's damage is more stable, too, because they don't have to rely on critical strikes at all.
Sorry for the double post, BUT: Here's the remade DPS comparison section, with interesting new results and 100% correct math! I'm just waiting for Sila to add it in, but here's it for those who want to read it:
Headless Horseman (requires 3,000 HP – depends on availability) HH definitely does not require 3k hp as a thief. You can easily just dark sight through it and FJ to the end of the map and buff up again, or if in any of the crossroads maps just go up the rope. I've done 75-90 with almost only killing HH and I really think it should be moved to 80+ instead of 95+, the exp is really good. I killed 1 HH in around 7 minutes at lvl 80 and it took me 1 red cider and 1 normal cider, and I gained 25%+ from 1 kill. 1.5k dmg KB isn't hard with decent EQ and an attack potion.
The 3K HP is because of his magic attack which isnt as easy to avoid. Last time I killed him I remember him doing ~2.7k damage and I have an egged HTP and zhelm for extra defense. I'll note the recommendation for it to be lower level training though!
