Solved [Solution Given] Voted but no nx

I have voted on GTOP100, but this was not captured on MapleRoyals server as it is still showing as not voted.




I have tried:
- voting on a private and secure network
- ensured no one else is using GTOP100 to vote on the same network
- restarted router and try to vote again
- adblocker is disabled / no adblocker
- tried using google chrome, Microsoft edge
- tried voting on your mobile device using mobile data

Just wondering if it is GTOP100 having sync issue with MapleRoyals servers.

 

Thanks for the fast reply. But it seems that it has been well over 3 hours? But MapleRoyals site is still showing as not voted yet.

 

Update: I think I haven't received any nx for the past week or even longer

PS. tried today again, but still could not get any nx

Did you go through "Click here to vote!" then you voted at GTOP100?

Cause there is no reason for you to not get any NX.

 

Oh, it worked today. Not sure why for the past few days it wasn't working.

 

Ok, I managed to replicate the issue. Based on this thread: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/troubleshooting-voting-issues.140129/

By using the link where you replace the username with the your user name and vote. This causes the username to be recorded on GTOP100 as voted but does not reflect back to MapleRoyals page, hence voted but unable to receive any nx. Even if you try to use back the link from MapleRoyals page, GTOP100 will still reflect as voted.

To avoid this: only use the vote paging from MapleRoyals that direct you to GTOP100 to do your voting.

PS. I have been using this link (https://www.gtop100.com/topsites/MapleStory/sitedetails/MapleRoyals-Nostalgic-MapleStory-Server-79510?vote=1&pingUsername=username) for voting in the longest time, only until recently then I found out this issue. Suspect that because the call is directly to GTOP100, which recorded the voting but did not send the "voted" response back to MapleRoyals, hence not updated with nx.
