Update check failed: WinHttpSendRequest failed

I'm not sure how possible this is in Windows 7 (Windows Firewall with Advanced Security seems to only want to exclude executables), unless you know some crazy group policy magic. I get the same error with both WZ and IMG installations, and I tried making manual exceptions for MapleRoyals.exe, but nothing seems to work. I'm not a network expert so maybe I'm missing something. But the game launches just fine on my Windows 10 test stick, both with firewall enabled or disabled (doesn't connect to login server when firewall is on but doesn't give me the WinHttpSendRequest error).

I did try disabling the firewall entirely on this Windows 7 PC, but that's not something I'd recommend outside of testing. Do you have any suggestions to help the game communicate to the server on Windows 7?

I get a 502 bad gateway error when trying to connecting but can ping just fine.

like how do i chek ? what exactly do i chek and change?

Is there way to disable centar client option ? And res change without going ingame via option tab? Like the clock option before?

Last few updates and some not necessary QoL's made updates such pain

please keep it as it was there is no need of such changes sure are nice but the updates are not that often and we can do it on our own download and install and even move the client as we wanted why such changes =(

What exactly u mean by puttin the website on exception, how u do that?

 

Issue has been resolved.

Router itself was blocking "mw.birb.gg"

Made an exception in my router to allow that and it connected.

 

Mine isnt blocking hmm, still no solution for me :/

same windows7，no anitvirus，no firewall。
and after download links were last updated on 23 11月 2023, 15:52. There was no response when opening the client, and the process mapleroyal.exe in the task manager closed after a few seconds

Same problem with me, my old laptop Win 7 32 bit, no any anti virus and firewall closed and try to reinstall + restart
but my another laptop win 10 64 bit can play well (use same wi-fi)

 

Idk nothing help. Staff told me to wait till next update, but for sure i wont wait that long. Idk how such Problems cant get tested before using New updates... nvm thanks for the Times royals
