I also have the same problem with launching and nothing is happening. My computer is windows 10. I redl/installed the new client, launched it and it shows my game as a background process when I opened the task manager, redid the virus protection, restarted comp and I used that website https://cdn.royals.ms/info/mr and it shows
Do let the game run awhile, it might be auto patching What's the date of your EXE? Also that message on the website means it's working as per normal
The auto patch timing is affected by internet speed Mine only takes about 10 seconds You may wish to use a VPN if it would help to speed up the process
