Just your friendly neighbourhood islander requesting a higher drop rate for stars this Christmas. Thank you for reading. <3
For reference, here are the current price lists for islanders for Halloween and Christmas: I think the argument here is that the halloween chairs require fewer ETC (candy), and candy is tradable while maplemas stars are not. Halloween candy could also be farmed through the halloween jump quest, which is very quick and accessible, while the extra-frosty challenge is a much harder JQ (and I don't think it's usually accessible via island anyways). Last year I spent all of Christmas on my islander and only managed to get around 3000 stars. It's possible it's intentional that Christmas items are harder to get, in which case fair enough. But maybe it's just an oversight. Possible solutions to balance things out: - increase star drop rate - reduce star trade-in cost - Give an option to exchange nevermelting snow for maplemas stars, since snow is useless on maple island
maplemas stars are untradeable? then, there will be a great waste of time and life. please make it tradeable.
They are, indeed. NamoAmituofo very kindly provided thousands of candies for me to distribute to new and existing islanders this Halloween, enabling newcomers to access gear and chairs that they would otherwise have been unable. As a result, those islanders will be better able to support newcomers next Halloween. The tradeability of candy generated a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment on the island, of which the Christmas event would likely benefit, both now, and in the future, should stars become tradeable.
