So many people simply NPC really nice equips because they never sell. This I think is because putting them up for sale in the FM is futile since there is just a sea of scrolls. It would be really cool if there were areas where only equips could be added to shops so if you know what you're looking for, you can go find it.
I think this makes sense and would be a great addition. However I don't know much about programming or the likes, so I wouldn't even be able to guess how simple or complex it would be for the Royals staff to implement this. I'd love it for sure
I think that is what he meant. If not, then that is what I interpreted as his idea. Or wait, do you mean that there should be no programming effort to accomplish this, and also suggest that this should become a "thing" as in having the Staff advertise a smart usage of the FM? If so then I think it could work too, and would probably require less effort from the devs.
He didn't specify, but having to program it seems like a waste of time and effort. There should be enough players who are desperate for godly uncommon equips that this will be possible.
Either way could work. It could work as a social thing like how in og runescape there were certain places to stand in falador to advertise specific goods, but that happened naturally. It's hard to force that if people already don't just do it. Either that or there needs to be a different way to sell scrolls. I'm just tired to sifting through scroll when I want to just browse interesting equips.
Once Owl of Minerva is fully working, you can use that to find the equips you are looking for and this won't be necessary
Means my game will not crash anymore if i click on one of the links in the owl ? Didn't tried that for a time now ...
I'm not sure this is the point, though. Personally, I don't usually have an equip in mind when I browse through the FM; I just go through to see if there are any nicely statted or scrolled items that I could make use of. Especially since I play a female warrior, it can often be difficult to find good tops and bottoms for sale. Currently, these items that are already few-and-far-between might be lost in the bottom of shops or among junk scrolls. Having some way to separate the sale of equips would definitely help those with uncommon equip needs. Plus, those poor, lonely equips can finally find a new, loving home (or inevitably end up the victim of a rogue 70% scroll). #freetheequips2k15
I agree. Whenever one browses through a clothing store looking for a specific item, it often happens that one's interest is caught by a completely different article. This is why many stores pay attention to the manner in which they display certain items, so as to trigger the interest of customers. With owl of minerva this is not possible. I think what the OP had in mind was an area within the FM where one could browse through all kinds of equips and maybe buy a thing or two that are not even related to what one was originally looking for. Certainly it would be more entertaining to browse through shops to find different clean or scrolled equips rather than a spam of scrolls.
