What a crazy good guide, thanks so much! I know they're not as hard but any chance of including lesser bosses (Zak, Krex, BGA, etc.?)
Every year is the year of the Sair!!! @Officially, if you want any more help with editing/proofreading and Solsticio is too busy feel free to hit me up, I'm happy to help
Title changed to Corsair bossing guides from End game bossing guide (will add some earlier level bossing guides as well to the thread soon) Thread edited with better grammar and BGA Guide. #Thanks to @cagedmercury Krexel/Neo Tokyo Bosses Guide will be added soon.
Throwing these SS's and info if you wanna Copy-Paste them to the guide. A buddy asked me to do this so here it is Spoiler: Krexel Spoiler: Left Eye Safe Spot First, get to this spot on the left structure: You want to be right on top of the line under your feet, don't waste too much time perfecting it you'll get the muscle memory soon enough. And just a simple jump from this spot will slide you down to the edge to safely evade the roots and genesis, but you must dismount to properly evade the genesis when it strikes the structure, since your ship's hitbox is too wide. When you reach the attack limit just tap the right 1-2 times and get back to the spot in image 1 Spoiler: Right Eye Spots Depending on your ship's HP I recommend two spots. Spot 1 (High HP Ship) This puts you in a place where Krex's attacks cannot knock you back further, but will get hit often by Genesis and Root. No need to Dismount/Dodge here since tanking the attacks. Spot 2 (Low HP ship) In this spot you will only be hit by Genesis, thus dismount to dodge the Genesis and Recoil shot+Jump to immediately return to the attack spot on top of the branch
Spoiler: Zakum I recommend using Cheese/Reindeer milk/Elixirs to keep HP at a minimum in case you don't dodge any attacks, especially the 1/1 Spoiler: Arms Torpedo and Elemental Shots aren't that great here. I might Torpedo if I'm inside Smokescreen, but mostly only use Cannon on arms. Try to stay away from whatever the AOE attacker is hitting to maximize their DPS Spoiler: Body Spoiler: 1/1 Attack Quickly Dismount to avoid this 1/1 from taking immense damage to the ship Spoiler: Pillar Fall These Pillars do 1/1 damage and Stun, avoid them at all costs. Sometimes taking a PE and tanking a body hit is needed to avoid these pillars. Animation: (sorry mobs in the way) Floor markers: Pillars falling: Spoiler: Lightning + Skill Lock The lightning attack does 3k damage and Skill locks you on hit, quickly dismount/dodge, drink an ACP, then remount to attack Animation: Spoiler: Mob Spawn Spawns Mobs Animation: (it's similar to Lightning, just smaller and blue) Spoiler: Hiding in Mobs "Making Friends" This allows you to continuously attack Zakum without worrying about 1/1, Pillars, and Lightning. I highly recommend doing this during B3 as Zakum tends to get very spammy on his attacks On the right side of Zakum, Hit a few mobs with a Blank shot: Now you're ready to cannon spam Zakum under the mobs. Be aware if you get knocked too far right, you will kill your mob friends
how are you allocating your SP for 3rd and 4th job skills? I am having some trouble deciding what I want all my points to be in and there seem to be a few ways to do it? are all 3rd job skills maxed?
isnt Gaviota used consistently? In the VL video, he is using it whenever it is up. Does that not warrant maxing it, or is the DPS increase too minimal?
splitters and gaviota are all used for bosses so i assume you need them maxed. maybe some pro sair can correct me @PinaColadaPirate
so to give a bit more context into what I am talking about, here is a breakdown: I am currently level 190 with the following skills: 3rd Job Burst Fire - 20 Octopus - 30 Gaviota - 30 Flamethrower - 30 Ice Spitter - 11 Homing Beacon - 30 4th Job Elemental Boost - 20 Bullseye - 20 Wrath of the Octopi - 20 Maple Warrior - 10 Aerial Strike - 30 Rapid Fire - 30 Battleship - 10 Battleship Cannon - 30 Battleship Torpedo - 30 Hero's Will - 1 Unused SP - 6 Assuming that I have 30 more SP to be gained from levels (with a potential 5 more from completing Olaf? I might be missing SP somewhere so please correct me if I am wrong), I was planning on spending them like this: Elemental Boost + 10 Maple Warrior + 10 Hero's Will + 9 Which leaves me with 7 SP (6 unusued at start, with a potential +5 from Olaf) to put into Ice Spitter, leaving it at 18 (23). What is the best skill to leave with a couple points unmaxed? I am unlikely to get Hero's Will 10 anytime soon, so planning on allocating those points elsewhere until I get it.
