Hello, I bet many, not only Bandits would like to have the dragon's tail dagger as an nx cover to use on their high end game dagger or using it on a dagger for fun. By adding it to cody's shop, you make people work for it and do pqs in order to get the cover. it shouldn't be really that expensive imo but it can go for like 200-300 tokens? I think it'll be a good way to add it into the game, nor it be a normal nx item in the cashshop. Dragon's Tail: What do you think?
cody is a NPC that is in all towns i think, or at least in a few. in royals, when you do pqs you get tokens that you can use to get from cody some cool stuff like nx covers, chairs and more. This dagger is 1 of a kind in this game, looks really good with almost anything. if you ask shadowers they'll LOVE to have it as an their high end ugly dagger. Some people would like to use it even if they are not a main shadower. I mean, they can put it normally in the cash shop like any normal NX item, that works too. or even in RP selection. I'm down for all options. But, i do think in cody it will make people to work for it abit and it seems more fun and people will have 1 more reason to do pqs. I did suggest adding Waterworks cape to the game and they did add it to cody's shop, so hopefully this might be the case in here too.
howdy. this concept is has been a popular request for a long time (not specifically this dagger): adventurer equipment skins that work like NX covers meaning it has been requested a lot, but little attention has been given to it being implemented. i've also requested tokens being part of the in-game payment. one of the reasons is maple weapons and zak helm only requiring level 50 (it should be at least 100 IMO). equipment like this, with no requirements and massive benefits, trivialize almost all in game/class equipment. since most ppl are wearing basically the same items from starting a char to end game because everything is very min/maxed here, and those extremes only slowly ratchet further, all adventurer hats, and most weapons are worthless. most overalls, tops, bottoms, are as well, especially under 80. and shoes and gloves are obvious. there are always decently scrolled adventurer shoes/gloves, but they're usually the top level sets as well. even if you do use them, out of preference or necessity or challenge or w/e, you will also level out of them eventually, and a lot of them are just plain great pixel art. i personally love a lot of the in-game eq. they look great, lots of unique and distinct class gear. i think it would be an easy implementation to add something like a class gear cover ui that you can buy covers for through token exchange or any barely used NPC [please no more new ones cluttering every town]. for some price, mesos, tokens, nx, or turning in x amount of the item you want as a skin, you can open up a class specific UI, pick the category of item, overall, hat, then you can choose through all the class specific skins of that item to exchange as a cover that works just like NX (this could also just work in the cash shop, since there's an entire page that's been "under construction" forever). these covers could also only last a certain amount of time, like NX used to, which warrants repeated asset sink, and replayability. i think you should at least be the same level as the item to eq it. stat requirements are also a consideration since there aren't any after new class gear after 110. also, a fame requirement on all of them might be a good idea for the skins as well (requires some extra questing or friendly behavior) again it sounds easy on paper but i think the cost or "how" to implement it is probably the only thing holding it back. also, this may somewhat peel off NX item purchasing, unless the skins are also purchasable with NX. even if the unused page in CS is utilized, i think it could still be set up to have different payment methods, x amount of eq, mesos, tokens, fame
I think they can be implement it easliy, they just need to think how they want to go with it. They already made a real item game into a nx item and put it in cody's shop (Waterworks cape (known as WWC)). I really hope they might do it, at least add like 1 of each cool weapon of a class into a NX cover either by NX of cashshop (like they did with those green zakum gear they placed into NX covers than real weps). If there will be more people who want to make this idea come true they might actually do it in some way.
We have just discussed this within staff. We do agree with you that it’s a nice looking item but decided against the suggestion for the following reasons: would lead to more or even all regular items to requested to be available as cash items (file space issue) potentially less RP sales if added via Cody/NX (RP sales are what keeps the server running) might confuse players We are aware there are some items like Guan Yu Polearm available as regular and cash items currently but do not want to go further down this road. Nonetheless thanks for your feedback!
Is it not possible to add 1 or 2 of each weapon as a NX cover? like making 2 daggers into NX, 2 claws,2wands,2 staves etc and put them into the Cash Shop buyable for RP? I mean, I do only see it as a beneficial to both sides. Us - who get the looks we like and still being able to us our main weapons. You - who gets the money (RP) and keep the server running. I mean, considering work-money-time wise i think making an existing item into a NX cover isnt time cosuming much? this will indeed generate more money and RP and the effort is pretty minimal considering all these items are already in the files no need for a new icon, new item and so on, just to make it inaddition and make it a NX cover. You yourself said that you agree some itmes are looking nice and many are indeed looking forward to be able to use it. Even in the official server there are many nx and real items lookable, even a few real item that use the same looks but making them higher dmg\level like chaos dragon tail or barlon dragon tail which would look the same just a different name and stats and still it worked that way. I'd like you to reconsider it with the staff please, having all the profits and benefits against the loss and you'd see its actually healthy to implementing it the game. Thank you.
