I've advanced to 4th job a couple of days ago, bought my vip HTPQ to get Genesis, passed gen 20 & 30 and saving for mw20 BUT. This discussion refers to Og's in their late 20's or early 30's most likely with a full time job, many habits, a girlfriend/wife, studying something or a mix of them all, busy life in a short sum. I'm no longer with the grinding attitude and patience that I used to have as a kid, I don't play many hours daily and I don't feel that I'd like to rely on a timer that I have to start or stop instantly if I get an urgent phone call or want to eat a short meal or make a coffee and TC non stop just for some more decent mesos per hour while even with some wise farming I progress well slowly but surely. Instead I prefer to leech my Crusader to 135-140 and start low tier bosses like Pap, Chao etc daily especially since I don't play such a great amount of hours and I wanna enjoy my gameplay and take my time after almost 13 years off my childhood game. I wonder of I'm alone with these feelings or other players around my age (30 in like 2 months) feel the same and refuse to sell leech even if you can get extra 200-500m daily if you have the free time to do so.
You can use your bishop to farm. You can use your bishop to do pap prequest so your hero can kill pap 2x a day. You can use your bishops to get to 175+ and gear him up a little and Rose Garden on him everyday for mesos. With your BS and Hero you can get 200m a day from just doing RG alone which is around 1hr and 20mins. In addition you can use your BS to bring to HS on boss runs for more priority for drops, ie: bring it to Shao and get the nx. Don’t worry theres plenty of worth for your BS besides leech. Rose Garden you get max 40mins to clear but you can pace yourself to do it when you have the time to invest at least half an hr. Also, you can get married on both charas and apq on both each day if you please.
Started doing some clever farming around lvl 58, stayed at zombies most of my levels except 4 lvls of skele leech or HS'ing my Warrior at Capt Lacatina solos or important quests like Scarga questline. And since a decent 100-300m was so easy to get even since the lvl 5x days I knew that I'll most likely avoid leech selling. Could stay at least a month more as a zombie tooth farming Priest but I planned to advance a couple of days before the end of the Lunar event and so far I enjoy every moment.
Mages, including Bishops are the definitions of meso printers. If you're only looking at grinding for meso. Archmages can generally do a bit better than Bishops since they deal more damage and have slightly better single target dps for dailly content such as RG and Chao. Regardless, all mages print meso like crazy. Especially at higher levels/mp where you profit PE by just spamming mage ulti and basically have no cost of playing. Regardless for the severely time constraint players I believe that Chao is the best meso/time content in the game (and Eph if right class /strong enough. Ellin might be contested by RG but that's again content that takes 30-40 minutes wich you may or may not be willing to spend on a piece of content and also has the requirement of lvl170 and some gearing while Chao can be done almost naked at lvl120. Attackers have access to much more efficient meso/time content. Especially when you are better geared at higher levels and f.e. can do a zak trio run in like 10-15 minutes. Mages excel at making meso for the remaining 23h and 30min you are not bossing with friends. tl;dr Mages are meso printers. Even without selling leech. Attackers can do much more efficient meso/time content.
