Currently a level 94 Ranger and I've tried Headless Horseman many times now, but I really don't like it. Just doesn't seem worth to me. Withought stoppers, it takes me ~8 minutes to kill and I only get 15% from it, assuming I even find them in the first place. Then there's the issue with the Leprechaun... Recently, I went through all 20 channels looking for HH [didn't find any] and got killed by Leprechaun 4x and ran through the safety charms I had. It just doesn't seem feasible with the need for stoppers & charms and the time spent actually looking for HH. Are there any alternatives? My range is 1360-2408 which translates to like 5-6k with arrow rain.
Do not go snipe newts, it's the worst spot ever believe me.. it's just what OG maplers did when they were out of mesos to buy HP potions but yeah it's really really slow. Also you will get hit there, it's not a magic spot where you're invisible or something. Your damage is pretty good, so i suggest you go himes where you can easily find other players to party up with ( i always found / recruited myself a 4-6 party team there ). You think it's slow but once you play super grindy games where you get 0.01% per kill, you start to understand how fast you truly get exp here. The world is yours, there's tons of monsters you can hunt, travel and find out what suits you the best. I know that wolf spiders be a great spot for rangers, but i think it's mostly levels 75-90. You can always be a chump and buy leech like the rest of the kids here who lost the magic of maplestory a long time ago and claim they don't have time to grind but still somehow play 30-50 hours a week if not even more for years already. Besides there's no honour in getting leeched There are also guides you can check, but what's the fun in that? I suggest you find a partner / partners and go himes. Invest yourself 10-15 hours and you're already close to 120. For your level i think you can get level every hour and 100+ it's every 1.5 -2 hours. Put some music and start grinding Try to find monsters that give at least 0,05-0,30% exp per kill. Also ulu estate 2 and 3 aren't bad spots but it's bad if you go solo.. it's amazing spot if you have a team with you. Also aqua dungeon / leafre mobs are pretty decent. Galloperas aren't bad either but if i were you, i'd just go kill himes (dreamy ghosts) till about 120 so you can do some duo papulatus. Also here's my video.. if you think 6-8 min HH battle is long, then you're just impatient and lazy i guess. Grinding games require a lot of dedication to get levels. It's the truth, things aren't getting easier once you hit 135+ , yeah you can boss but you still have limits to go bossing + it requires a lot of other things such as gear, recruitment of other members, HP, apples etc. Ask any level 200, it does require a lot of patience to hit level 200. I am very high level now and hey i didn't leech at all. It's all about recruiting party members and dedicating yourself to grinding. Here's a motivation video for you:
https://royals.ms/forum/threads/quests-worth-doing-2-0.185825/ Go do all the prequest you can do such as Krex, Scartar, Papulatus and later on Ellin Forest. The exp rewards from the ToT quest chain are very huge AND you're killing 999 mobs (that drop pretty decent gear as well). I believe you can start it at lvl90-something. The lengthy and quest chain from Alcaster unlocks his npc-store for magic/summon rocks and ACP. Very worth to have done. You can work towards the 250 Monster Card Medal, wich is very easy to get once you start doing low level bossing for +2 atk AND JUICY +500 HP!! You'll grind some exp and meso along the way. Quest Medal is definitely more fun and a hard flex. It might even be better on low level when you are still struggling to hit the stat requirements for your gear. Although it will definitely take longer than getting 250 sets. Try checking off as much as you can from the Olaf Quests, the rewards are insane and most relevant when done early. Anyway, around lvl 90-100 most start maxing out most of their relevant 3rth job skills. The the 3rth-job power spike flattens out for everyone around there. Lvl 110-120 are the most tedious for most since you're barely getting any stronger each lvl, requiring a lot of exp for the limited viable grinding option you have. Once you hit 120 you can start doing Chao and Papulatus Daily (Ephinia might require somewhat decent gear/stoppers at low level). With these dailies and the insane 4rth job power spike you'll be able to fly through the early bossing levels. You are reaching a fairly lengthy part of the game. Find something you enjoy doing and you won't mind the grind. One more thing. If you can't do the grind anymore. Just buy leech. Rule of thumb, it's worth 100m to hit lvl120 1 hour faster. We all rather have you buying leech than quitting the game . glhf
Lvl96+for HH leech, around your lvl will give only 5-7% per HH unless you're the dps lol. at that point you're better off standing top Platform Gallopera spamming Arrow rain, big pot burn but drops average around 300K Meso each at npc sell. You should look into the ToT quest lines( https://royals.ms/forum/threads/pink-bean-comprehensive-guide-to-pre-quests-boss.21239/#post-122340) for decent exp, not to mention golden richies is a must hourly as it gives very good exp up until lvl110 which it then cuts off. currently leeching up my project 98 atm and starting ToT myself later so feel free to add my hs mule if i see you online idm helping out.
Hey, thanks for the advice. Just thought I'd mention never said the issue with HH was the time it takes. Just annoyed by the [sometimes] lack of availablity and then me always getting killed by leprechauns lol. Also, how do you find a party for Himes? I've been soloing Ulu1, exp isn't that bad, but my god am I running through pots lol.
I'll definitely look into doing all the prequests. As for the Olaf quests, I'm up to date. I've also cleared off every single quest from that link you posted lol. I've been grinding at Ulu1 recently, which hasn't been bad. just running through pots like crazy.
