Feedback has been made three years in a row and this is not considered to be balanced? This is not balanced. What is this party composition? This is an example vs the other team with 3 thieves and 1 melee Thieves > Melee Claw > other weps This is self-explanatory If we want to take an average number of how many runs we need melee vs thieves for a 3000 ribbons item. Let's take an example of melee of getting 65 eggs per run and thieves of 80 eggs per run. Melee 3000 / 65 = 46.15 runs Thieves 3000 / 80 = 37.5 runs Difference 46.15 - 37.5 = 8.65 runs 8.65 x 2 hours = 17.3 hours more Aside from the additional time to get eggs, melee gets Ksed and have to scuff themselves to elsewhere on the map to get eggs which is frustrating. Hence, I believe Egg PQ needs to be adjusted despite the discussion that were made before.
Did you have a gun equipped? Edit: Actually not sure what class you are, but if you are a thief or pirate with a ranged weapon equipped you should be matched against other ranged. How do you believe it needs adjusting, do you have any suggestions to go along with your feedback?
What about disabling ranged attacking? I'm not sure that's possible but it's completely fair if everyone is just forced to melee attack, no?
I guess this slows down everyone’s ribbon progression. Would rather everyone ranged so everyone can get 60-80 ribbons per pq than everyone getting 50-70.
Hello Matt, Thank you for responding. I did use a gun but is incomparable to a claw Below is a screenshot between a gun and claw’s attack speed I believe Egg PQ needs adjustment because there are melee players that are at a disadvantage. I want to advocate for the melee players as everyone should have an equal opportunity in Egg PQ. What are my suggestions? Players to have same weapon and range as it was mentioned in the previous feedback Map layout changed where it can fit eight players hitting eggs
I think a way to balance other classes is Let mages use Energy Bolt Let Warriors do 15 damage instead of 10 (So eggs take 2 hits, but they're the only class who can't long distance)
Sound balanced, bolt cannot hit as far but still got the ranged perk while warriors do better at melee.
I agree with the issues being thieves with faster rate and more range. Pirates with guns don't attack as quick, and bowmen can't jump and attack like thieves can. As a mage with a faster weapon I still get stuck doing more eggPQs because I consistently get 20 less eggs than thieves, and consequently lose more often. I've also seen light discrimination from party members when they see melee members (f3 faces or "oh boy we're losing"), which isn't game breaking but kind of annoying. The range/attack difference also means eggs get sniped or double hit before I can reach them (e.g. someone attacks a yellow egg twice, leaving the last hit to someone else so they can get drops without having to kill every egg.) I really like the suggestion that everyone be given the same weapon (either ranged or melee) so that there's no class discrepancy. We could have a themed one like Snowman, maybe an egg basket or bunny glove that shoots carrots or something.
I agree with this approach but I'd like to offer an alternative that shouldn't require much coding: Make it so that claws, bows, crossbows and guns do 5 damage per hit. This puts everyone on the same level by making melee weapons the superior choice without completely screwing over those who forgot to bring one. Also, I'd like to request to have avatar smegas automatically turned off in the EggPQ map (similar to Snowman map) so that they don't cover up the score board.
Standardizing claws could be the best option for maximizing egg gathering as long as keen eyes is disabled in the pq, if not thieves just get the advantage again
