Hello!

My girlfriend and I have been accepted on the voting white list but yesterday we forgot to vote from different networks, we both voted from the same home network.

Up until now we both voted from different networks, and of course always once a day each.

Are we possibly getting banned for this?

 

Gtop100 didn't prevent you? As far as I know it's impossible to vote twice on the same network because of gtop

 

Sadly it did not :/

We were on Wi-Fi and Ethernet wired, maybe that gave us some different mask and gtop accepted this?
I'm at work atm so can't check what ip configuration we get on Wi-Fi, will check later today.

 

For what its worth, my boyfriend and I are also whitelisted- we each vote on our own computer which is connected to the same network, and have had no issues. If you and your girlfriend have already been accepted to whitelist, you should be fine to vote from the same network, as the GM's are already aware which accounts are yours and which are your girlfriends. That is the purpose of whitelist so they can see that the two daily votes coming from your network are in fact two different people.

 

That's a little bit comforting

Although according to the voting rules it says if you are on the voting whitelist one member of the household can vote from the home network and the others from a different network.
I don't see why this restriction applies for whitelisted accounts unless Gtop used to not allow multiple votes from the same network.

My boyfriend and I were playing at his apartment, and we both voted at his apartment. It didn't occur to me until after we voted that this is considered 2 votes from the same network, and now I am worried that we will be banned. I was wondering if there was a GM or someone I'm able to reach out to directly to prevent us from getting banned. I don't normally play at his apartment and I have not voted here before (I usually vote at my own apartment). This was an honest mistake

 

You can post a thread in "Report Abuse" and let them know both of y'all IGNs so they can check and see if it's major or minor or even a singular non-harmful double vote (even tho it's still wrong).
It's best to do this so they won't randomly find out as it might worsen the situation.

Hey, I just want to make sure cuz sometimes im paranoid that i accidently vote twice in a day. How well does the "you already voted" screen work? Can i rely on it completely to know if i voted or not? Sometimes i vote while im at the gym or at work if i forget to do it at server reset
