I am unsure if this has been suggested in the past however I believe players would benefit if there was a way to identify bride/groom characters after marriage i.e. on the marriage ring. Also - it would be a huge help in APQ planning if there was some sort of bride/groom indicator in the party pop-up window / party HP mark UI / NPC that tells you how many bride/groom (with identification of each player) are in the party. I feel that this would be a simple yet very beneficial addition. Please let me know what you guys think
I like the idea of being able to tell who is what, but I'm unsure about modifying Party UIs in general just for something relevant for APQ. Maybe as an alternative, the heart in Character Info (that tells if you're single or married) can be modified to be pink(br) or blue(gr) to designate what you are in respect to APQ roles?
binary bride and groom distinctions are so 1600's abolish apq make me admin and i promise free apples for all royallers (except NLs)
Changing the color of the hearts in the character info is something we wanna do, but it requires a client edit, which can make it a bit difficult. The devs will look into it whenever they have time to.
At the very least, I'd say to have an NPC at the area that confirms if you're a Bride or a Groom; as a more patch-fix until the other thing goes live
I like the idea of changing the heart color, but if that is too difficult what about adding a text command? An example of something already in-game: typing /find PumpkinWitch would give the response 'PumpkinWitch' is at 'Scania-1'. So to check if my character is a groom or bride, the command could be /grbr PumpkinWitch or maybe /apq PumpkinWitch and it would respond with 'PumpkinWitch' is a 'bride'.
What if there was no limitation for bride/groom at APQ at all? I believe most people marries their own mules just to be able to APQ So if you could make a whole groom either whole bride groups wouldn't be any trouble if there was no limitation inside the PQ
I like this idea, in the modern world you could have two grooms marry each other and two brides! so the fact that you have to have three brides and three grooms is a bit outdated. would also definitely make finding a apq party easier too. OG maple was made during a time when same sex marriages were still being oppressed and I would say this change would still make it OG maple Also, I came back to the game after 3 years and I forgot which of my chars were brides and which were grooms at first LOL
If you’re recruiting via a smega/chat, then you can simply ask people to pm whether they’re a bride or groom… which is what everybody actually does. Having to find and click on them to look at their profile is just extra work. But if you want to know if your party members are bride or groom, then I think this is the best approach: With 1 tweek… Simply make a command called ~apq that provides the info for all current party members.
What about ~apq members says like: Player 1 is groom Player 2 is bride Player 3 is bride Player 4 is groom Player 5 is groom Player 6 is groom Or Just disable requirement (male / female) in first portal, and everyone can choose witch side want to enter, is the only stage Who need br/gr.
