Hey guys, I'm a big noob, never had a char higher than 80 on OG Maple. I can't decide between DRK or Hero. I mostly care about being able to use a sick ass polearm/spear. If I can reskin my sword to be a polearm I'll pick hero immediately. Also, is HP washing/int gear leveling required for warriors? Or can I get by with Olaf/ putting points into int?
Sounds like DK is the way to go for you. Regarding hp wash, I did wash a little with my dk with really basic int gear and no base int at all and got to 30k hp with hyper body, it's not mandatory but because it's pretty easy it's worth it imo. Good luck!

Very similar in what they do, the major difference I feel is drk needs to zerk(keep hp lower than 50%) for max dps and does a bit more dmg.
Feel free to just use any low level 2h-sword and head to the CashShop, see what fits you best. I am a Hero main, no need to zerk (50% HP and below), HP washed, decent gear, can solo anything except HT and above. I am below level 160 tho.
Drk is cooler and more fun to play (esp in 3rd job if you're planning to grind) but Hero is cheaper and doesn't need to Zerk, saving a lot of $$$ on pots. Your choice. Also, I never washed and easily hit 30k with HB around lvl 150ish. Fun class, but be aware of the downsides. Good Sky Skis are crazy expensive, and the need to Zerk makes many late game bosses very challenging unless you're able to manual pot perfectly.
Yes you can. I used the guanyu polearm cash item over my 2h sword. just my 2 cents - DRK does slightly more damage than hero, but needs to zerk in order to do that. DRK has more utility than hero in terms of HB. However, sky ski is more expensive than 2h swords.
