I am getting this error upon launch. Failed updating the game: Get "https://cdn.royals.ms/info/mr": dial tcp 192.168.4.1:433: connectex: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. Edit: I tried the following in order. Made exceptions in firewall. (Didn't work) I have tried reinstalling. (Didn't work) Power modem on off. (Didn't work) DNS rules change. (Didn't work) IP Flush. (Didn't work) Formatted Computer. (Didn't work) Reset Modem. (Worked for one launch)
im having this same issue updated all drivers and operating system tried reinstalling in new location and i have an exception in my windows defender still getting the same pop up. Update: ive tried step 2 of daves link and when that didnt work ive tried step 3 still no luck. Then tried an ethernet cable instead of a wireless connection same message pop up. Finally downloaded the game on my girlfriends laptop and got the same message wich tells me it is a network issue. Still baffled on what to do sadly T_T
I think it's about network, I used my cellphone hotspot to login and it's okay, but once I changed back to WIFI and it's showing the same as you.
As your ISP may have blocked the access to the game, could you try connecting with a different ISP such as with mobile data or VPN (just for testing purposes)
I connected using a different vpn and game booted right up if i login however will it looked like my account got hacked if i use a different vpn? No Michigan
No, VPN usage is allowed, but don't use public ones https://royals.ms/forum/threads/do-not-use-public-vpn-services-for-mapleroyals.73925/
What is the solution without the use of VPN? I have to reset my modem every time I have to log in.. Should I just open 15 windows of maplestory and as 1 crashes use the next?
The only other thing i can think of is switching providers however i just paid 20 for a private vpn and can finally play. I went with nordvpn basic plan + dedicated ip. Need the dedicated ip to have a private vpn thats only useable by you.
Sadly I negotiated 30$month for high speed internet. I'll pay more to swap. I'll just keep reseting modem them.
