    Hi all,

Really desperately wanting to play MSRoyal on my Mac book pro M3 chip but there aren't any solutions or guides out there on the internet. Every tech guide seems to be at least 5-6 yrs old which doesn't even work any more.

Anyone out there that actually has MSRoyal working on their Mac books with a solution that actually works? thank you in advanced.

Hey Thanks so much for your response,

I've tried the Crossover method with better display but ultimately it doesn't work for me - I thought I got it to finally work (Without using Betterdisplay) but after I put in my 6 digit PIN code the game crashes and quits the game. I now can't even open up MS anymore and instead I get an error msg.

This is the YouTube tutorial I've followed:

These are the steps ive taken so far in my efforts to get MSroyal working:

    1) Successfully installed Crossover and have installed MSRoyal onto my Mac

    2) Per instruction on YouTube video I need to turn on the BetterDisplay to 16:12 & 1024x768 resolution (But I think this is what's causing the issue).
After Ive changed the settings on Betterdisplay and press the Virtual Screen button- my Mac screen goes blank and nothing is showing on my desktop. The YouTube video instruction on BetterDisplay seems to be out-dated so ive tried my best to follow the settings but not 100% sure I did everything correctly.

    3) On my first attempt of leaving BetterDisplay on, since I can't see anything on my desktop Im forced to turn OFF better display. With better display OFF I then proceeded to press on MSRoyal via Crossover and it worked the first time all the way up until I had to put in my 6 digit PIN code then the game crashed. Now it just gives me error messages and doesn't even let me to the character screen anymore.

This is where I'm stuck - Im hoping you can help me out here. Starting to regret buying a Mac book haha Pls help!

    PS:

When installing MSRoyal via crossover my installation settings were:

    "windows XP 32-bit"

The error message I now get from MS is this:

    update:

when I restart my Mac book I can get the game to work once only all the way up to the character selection (crashes there after).

I try setting up the Better Display but does the same thing - it blanks/empties my desktop and makes everything disappear (I can hear MS running in the background though) and when I turn off Better Display everything comes back to normal

A bit off topic (didn't wanna make a new thread), but does anyone know if Royals will run on the new Snapdragon X PCs that are coming out? I'm aware that it will need to be emulated, but since Royals is native to Windows it shouldn't be as challenging to run compared to Mac, right?

Are you clicking enter on the on-screen keyboard, or pressing enter on your physical keyboard? Try the latter if you keep getting stuck after the PIC screen.

I can confirm as someone on a Snapdragon X Elite that Royals doesn't work. VMware and crossover also aren't compatible. I am unsure of how to access Royals from my Windows 11 Snapdragon ARM laptop at this time. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
