Hello crew, could you please add more rooms for the cake boss. Currently there is a huge shortage on rooms / channels for the cake boss, this results in the fact that in +- 4 min all 20 channels / rooms are filled and ends up that not everyone can enjoy this event. In the past aniversary event we had this exact same issue, they then added extra rooms per channel. This meant that you are not with more peoople in the same map but there are like 1-5 rooms per channel resulting in more people / chars able to run the cake bos event. I hope you can do this again just like with previous events !
The first day of the event that came out I was able to enter with all my mules but after the next day the problems began I could only make 2 of my main characters and the rest of the channels had already killed the event boss and I still have the same problem when the server time shows 20:00 the channels were full killing the event boss then it made me sad and at the same time unfair because we all want to get the new event scrolls that the server anniversary event offered us I would ask the staff to review and observe players who double count and do not respect the rules Thank you
Will forward the above feedback to Staff team In the meantime, other players may continue to input feedback as we do read them
Is it possible to make a vote on this post so players can vote if they want it or not? Would be helpful if devs may include the limitations such increased lag so that players can vote with an informed judgement! Tyvm
Strongly opposed. I find the cake boss tedious, and I think once or twice per 4 hours is enough. Allowing people to enter more times will reduce the value of the prizes.
i think the main problem is that since the demand so high, even going in once might be hard. being late by a few min = no need to go anymore
Hot take: many people have been bypassing the multiclient check using multiple PCs. It's the only plausible explanation for the extreme crowding of cake boss this year that was not seen in years 9 and 10, because there's no way the returning unique users on the server suddenly tripled in response to new scrolls being released. Year 10 wasn't exactly a muted affair and YET you could get a minimum 3 cakes even at the absolute worst hour (4pm servertime). Obviously the multi-PC ban is nearly impossible to enforce, so I'd love for the system to be reworked somehow so everyone can get at least 3 rounds which I think is fairly reasonable. It's not just about the meso rewards but also the coins which are needed for the expensive untradable NX if you're trying to get the set on multiple characters.
I would really like to see your evidence on this as just because it's busier doesn't magically mean it's people cheating. Servers can grow, and as far as I'm aware it's an IP Lock not a MAC address lock which multiple computers wouldn't solve.
I haven't tested cake but tree isn't an IP address lock - I accidentally entered twice once, due to characters being on separate VMs.
There's literally no way for a single "normal" player to gather evidence (think about it... you'll need to know a person's alts and somehow have eyes in both their channels), which is why one can only throw the possibility out there for consideration. This kind of multi PC/VM exploit for events (e.g. multi Winter Dash) has long been around but in the case of cake boss, it's actually directly hindering others from participating rather than just benefiting the person doing it.
Not a decisive evidence but if you start on lets say ch14, ch12 at the first second of cake boss, there're always some "mules" afk at the initial spawn of the map. Those will only take part in fighting cake boss after 3 / 4 / 5 minutes. You can guess what they're doing in the past few minutes.
There will always be people who try to bypass our system that prevents player from attending multiple event bosses simultaneously. We can only repeat that it is bannable and people got banned for it before. Naturally the hype for event bosses turns down after a while. We will see what we can do for future events.
