Hi, I've got a new laptop with a 4060, and a i9 185h. I'm trying to play maplestory but too often my game is lagging to the point that it is unplayable and can't do any bossing. I play smoothly, but then it happens again, the frame drops to 0-1 and completelely freezes up. Sometimes waiting for almost a minute and the game speeds up and continues working again, or the game crashes. I've tried a bunch of things. I thought the problem was multiple clients, since maplestory runs on my internal GPU and not on my 4060, which is a different problem all together. (changing settings in nvidia or the graphics setting in Windows also don't fix the problem of not running on my 4060. Even tried completely disabling my internal GPU, and than maplestory just gives an error. (Error Code -2147467259) But even running on a single client, the problem still persists. Also tried: - Running as administrator - Compatibily options (XP, windows 8 etc..) - Reinstalling - Trying WZ and IMG installer - Changing DPI settings - Lowering graphics - Lowering resolution - Tried different internet connections (at home, 4G network from my phone, at work) All didn't make a difference. - Updating all drivers from the manufacturers website - Changed power plan to high performance - Change priority to high, and or real-time - Change setting my screen to 60hz When playing none of my CPU, GPU, internal GPU is overloaded. Anyone know what could be the problem? ign:fewer
I tried to analyse if there was a pattern and i tested it. It doesn't seem to have to do with any graphical load or something like that, it's completely random. Tried standing in quiet spots with no monsters, and it still does the same unfortunately. Also watched if smega's had an influence, but it doesn't seem like that.
Yes, i think 10 minutes would be a somewhat accurate estimate as to how often it happens, and then sometimes it would be worse leading into a crash.
Alright, as last measure i'm now installing windows 10 and kicking off windows 11 on my laptop, if the problem persists i will try and record the issue.
Installing win10 seems to have fixed the fps lagging issue , however it still refuses to run on my nvidia gpu haha. EDIT: Alright it did it again, will try to record it
I don't really know what caused the problem and what exactly was the solution. I wiped my PC, installed windows 10. Then it still did it, upgraded to windows 11 again and it never occured again. Weird, but it fixed it for me.
I have tried all kinds of methods, but as long as my Bishop Leech and use Gen, it takes ten minutes to get stuck
