Character Name: Fixer Where are you having an issue(s): Launching the game. Date and Time when issue(s) occurred (GMT): 15/7/24 08:30 Details of the issue: Failed launching of client. What error code were you given(if any): Error code -2147467259 unspecified error when launching the client. I have seen one thread related to this topic, it was a few versions back and the solutions do not work for resolving the launch issue. If someone has time please have a look at this issue, then I can pick up the game again after my yearly break
Dear Dave, Thanks for the swift response. I have so far tried; Running as admin Changing the frame rate of my cpu Re downloading the game Re installing the game Grazi mille Fixer
As this issue is usually caused by monitor Hz being below 60, have you already tried this solution? https://royals.ms/forum/threads/error-code-2147467259-found-the-solution.90276/ Or is that what you meant by changing the frame rate of CPU?

HP brand laptop often don't have 800x600 resolution, causing that error You would need to figure out a way to add that resolution so that the game can run
Thanks for the info and pointing out the hindrance of the launch. I have the following resolutions at hand; would any work? 1366x768 1360x768 1280x768 1280x720 1280x600 1024x768 I remember I did play royals in the past on this laptop, but it might be over a year ago. And if nothing of above helps working to a solution, what are handy tools to manually set resolution on such HP laptop? Thanks for the feedback, if any. My knowledge goes to googling but I am unsure which programs are safe and common.
You may try this suggestion https://royals.ms/forum/threads/error-code-214767259-unspecified-error.137876/#post-868854 The game would work with any of those resolutions, but as the HP laptop lacks 800x600, the game can't be run
Had the same issue today, and tried most of the suggestions on forums but does not seem to work. for my case when I go to advanced display settings my Refresh rate was showing “unknown”, what I did was just 1. right click my windows Start button 2. select device manager 3. Look for display adapters and expand it 4. Right click and uninstall your graphics driver 5. Restart your PC 6. Note - I did steps 1 to 5 in “ Safe Mode” disclaimer - I’m not PC expert and was just googling ways to fix my “unknown” refresh rate as it seems the error stems from it. Hope it helps !
