This - I think people undercut how long Reuel's can take. It's still a hard grind for crumbs of HP, we would just like more accessibility! Thanks for the support~
So the staff decision for now: this quest will remain as is. Instead, they'd like to introduce other new ways of getting HP so there would be more variety of ways, with the most recent being rose garden. - As per Nut's last link. As for my opinion, if it ever changes to weekly, honestly might as well just remove any cap (which will very likely become a feedback by newer players to weekly cap).
@Dave Deviluke Please consider this forum~ She brings good points and I think it would encourage players to do it once a week. There are players who are weekend players as well. :] Ty~
No. A cap is a cap. Removing it would allow the quest to be repeated infinitely. Changing the daily cap to a weekly one would still result in the same monthly cap of around 30. I don't understand why there's so much exaggeration and resistance to change. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind if the cap was completely removed since these quests are meant to reward effort. They can be draining.
If you have any valid arguments, please present them. Exaggerations are not constructive. While I'm advocating for this idea and seeking support, I've noticed that arguments against are mostly focused on exaggerations and minor details. Suggestions like 'let's completely remove the cap' or 'why not make it a yearly thing /s' don't effectively defend your position and seem more like a 'well, F it, YOLO' approach
I already made my valid argument. The server work with daily cap, not weekly. This quest should not be special. Additionally sylafia gave the good argument that a weekly cap can easily be abused with a 1 or 3 day fast travel ticket. Anyway, the stuff already made their opinion on this so I dont really see any changes made to this. Just don't get why you think your opinion is better than others
The cost difference between a 1 day and a 14 day travel ticket is trivial for most of us. This just feels like such a minor issue.
It adds up, especially if you're HP questing on multiple characters at once or just generally trying to sustain multiple fast passes
How can it be "abused" if the overall net amount gained over time is still the same? Regardless if you are doing Seven quests on the last day of the week or you do two on monday, three on thursday and one on saturday and sunday ((for example)) - the overall net gain is the same. One quest per day is still 7 quests a week. If you made the cap a weekly thing instead of a daily thing, you'd still make it seven per week. And if anything, someone buying a fast pass specifically to do the quest that day is more of a meso sink for the server - which is inherently a good thing, isn't it?
So, the change should help, right? If you think 30m is a lot of money and the weekly timer is supposed to save you costs... The cost of fast pass tickets for multiple characters is not a challenge for those who play just one character. If you choose to play multi characters, you should also handle the costs for all of them, just as a single-character player manages their own. It might not be fair to impact single-character players because managing multiple characters isn't a thing many people have the time for. What I mean is that single characters usually already have a fast pass because they travel for dailies like APQ, Ludi, Bossing or Reuel, assuming they have the time. If you do the same on multiple characters, that's your choice. If you decide to binge for seven hours to clear two weeks worth of quests, that's also yours. Honestly, not many people have the time for that. So, this change from daily to weekly makes life easier, allowing us to progress at our own pace, like on weekends. The beauty of weeklies is that you can enjoy all worlds, make progress, and avoid FOMO or demotivation (giving up on HP quests completely). It prevents the feeling of being forced into chores when you're supposed to have fun. As a result, more people will likely participate in these quests, gradually increasing server wide base HP and creating opportunities for new future content.
Again, as I stated before. The fact that it would be nice to "receive" 30m, does not make it a good change. Thing should be balance, not easy
Just a heads-up: this quest is very tiring, especially with the new locations added. It takes time and is not as easy as it might seem. You are being rewarded for your effort, and this suggested change is far from being game-breaking, unfair, or too easy. Adds QoL, that is all.
Hello, sorry to disappoint you but I don't participate in Staff discussions about high-level content such as HP washing as I don't do bossing myself You may still ping me if want my Feedback in other areas though, I usually only participate in general Feedback
+1 Considering the majority of the players background being at a working age, its only logical to design the game according to the main audience. This QoL simply add flexibility to players rather than punishing them for not having the time everyday.
