Hello guys. My feedback is quite simple and probably people already mentioned this issue, but i think the drop rates for all neo-tokyo prequests are too low. I've trying for a few hours to drop Eruwater's Transmitter, and did collect over 2x the common etc needed for quest. Does this drop rates need to be so low? I think these prequests deincentivize the player base to do NT bosses. I've seen people mentioning the same issue with Vergamoth's pre quest so maybe this is a general thing all through NT's questline. Maybe devs could turn these 'rare' etcs drop rate a bit up? idk.
I believe the drop rate revert implemented in April (-30% droprate server wide?) affected drops rates for quest items, making farming for quest items lot more tedious. I feel buffing drop rates slightly (10-15%?) would not be an unreasonable thing to do, especially considering the recent RG adjustment means no more widespread meso generation (aside from a handful of dedicated mage farmers). Would make things less tedious and grindy for sure.
I’ve had that kind of rates too. ~1300 for quest item to drop. Then my next character had 4 quest items before I even finished my 300 etc items…( disappeared into the void)
One thing you can enjoy about NT is that is not as easy to be MuleStory in there. I support how long it takes cause it does not encourage people to do it on multiple accounts to just solo the bosses like everything else.
It’s nice in the way that you only have to do it once per character and never again, even then, it helps you to get some monster cards(or all 5) from the mobs too. NT is pretty rewarding so the tedious pre-quest feels worth it, just like cwk.
This. At least its one time. With the quest item etc drop change and we can’t stack HT etcs anymore its quite painful for players who don’t conveniently have 500+ dragon skins saved. On average it normally takes me 500-600 eruwater gun collects, just this one time I got lucky. I personally dont think NT drop rate is that bad. But questline 1 is awful for classes that cannot reliably hit the overlords out of the air lol. Idk what the drop rates are but hopefully your overlords/transmitter/maverick drop went better to it evens out. I think it is bound for one of these 4 to be ass for each character.
I've done this questline somewhere around a dozen times, and honestly I think it's reasonable where it is. It's definitely grindy but not impossibly so, feels close to being around the standard 999 kills per quest on average, maybe a bit under that even.
Once per character. Sylafias referring to once you finish it you don’t need to farm any additional prequest to do NT like Horntail Elixirs/Eye of Fires.
Well, if you try to estimate the drop rate with the amounts you find in a thread full of players who are angry at the quest, it's obviously going to be biased. A proper average requires a large and random sample, and this thread is lacking data from players who were luckier. So in the interest of keeping things honest, I just did the quest and got it at the same time as my 118th laser gun. And I believe that the other time I did this quest, it was also within the 300 Laser guns. Maybe I just got lucky. Maybe you all just got unlucky. Most probably a bit of both. EDIT: Just did it on another character... The attack that dropped the transmitter also dropped the 146th Laser Gun.
i only do those quests when theres drop rate increase event or have a coupon, otherwise takes too long
got the transmitter on the 299th laser gun not lucky per se, but oddly satisfying Twisted Radar took me about 1000+ Protolord kills though
I recommend you cc every 30minutes, it took me like 4hour in the second run of this quest.... instead of 3 days lol
