Hello everyone, so.. as the title says.. I've just hit 120 with my bishop and I was wondering on what should I put focus on now, progression-wise, as I'm very confused . This is my main character, and I'm willing to lvl him to 200 (hopefully) before any of my alts do. Considering I'm not funded at all, I was wondering if I should first stop leveling, and focus on selling low level leech so that I can get some nice funds for later on (for gear, washing, etc..), or if I should put main focus on lvling and perhaps start selling leech later on (or doing very few leeches/week). I honestly wouldn't know how to fund myself if not by selling leech, or screaming at Mushroom Shrine's gacha for CS (or decent scrolls, at least) , so that's where my confusion comes from, I suppose. If any of you guys have any tips regarding the matter, I'd extremely appreciate it. I hope I made any sense and thank you for taking the time to read this.
create an attacker, self leech + sell split leech all the way to 200. by then, you will have an attacker that is pretty high level, and you can continue playing mapleroyals
depends on what you enjoy doing. You can boss with your Bishop and level it up at skeles. You can just sell leech to fund/leech another character to boss with it. You can sell leech to fund gear for the other character and level it up normally through PQ, party grinding, questing, etc. I prefer the leveling/farming experience and dread leeching. It's actually slower to level up through leech now after recent updates to party grinding. a good balance would be to sell leech sometimes, then boss or farm ETC with that bishop. Then with your new character, level it up with friends and PQ. Leeching to endgame just bypasses the majority of the game/nostalgia to just do the same 4 bosses a day. Royal's endgame is NOT extensive and gets boring quickly. So leeching to just get to that point can be daunting or not rewarding. But if you love leeching just do that, to each their own. From my experience, I see players stay longer when they enjoy all aspects of the game instead of focusing on leech/bossing only. More importantly, what class do you want to try to play next?
Shad OP. Doesn't need to wash. Great Mobbing and Single target. BF meso bombing is godly 70+ so you don't need to leech it. Can actually farm items with taunt+bstep combo. Can solo content. Smokescreen is awesome in parties with TL and multiple shads. Shad HT is MUCH more fun and faster than NL runs. Assaulter is pretty cool. I could go on forever about Shad>NL. I'm a firm believer that if you took Flash Jump off of NL, nobody would play that shit.
Im also a bishop, stuck at level 14x. I really try to join boss runs but no one takes a bishop with no attacker... I literally sit and stare at the chat box for at least an hour a day and when I whisper for boss runs no one wants just a bishop
nowdays bs mains aren't really welcome outside of VL. used to be easier to get into zak / ht runs when this thread was active.
Everyone wants the buffs but no one wants to give them an actual spot in the party, hard to find words to describe this.
not really that hard, royals meta is to use mules, in zakum, krex and such its really easy to just bring your bishop inside and use it to buff the party. people prefer to bring a mule because then they do not need to share the exp / drops with another person. The only place currently which you actually can't mule is VL. you could still play BS main, but wouldn't be in many boss runs. you could do skele grinding, lhc, rose garden.
Yea i dont boss anymore, haven't in months. Mulestory is lame. I got really tired of dragging 3+ characters to each boss while trying to help new low level characters boss. Currently playing another server with multiclient disabled and having fun for now. Good luck on bishop though. Im hoping royals gms kill mulestory
For a class that was designed with so many party tools, they were built for teaming up for parties its ironic how nobody actually wants them except for their buffs. One can only hope. Maybe someday they atleast limit the amount of clients you can have.
