I had the exact same issue on my warrior. Here is the thread:

It works OK for archers.

 

This doesn't seem to be a character specific issue, but rather a bug with the quest.
As such I put my report in the bug report forum.

@hkim642 please bump it with your report so devs can maybe see it and fix it...

Bug is still not fixed!

 

Today I took a warrior and thief to do the quest at the same time (since Valentines = easy Amoria access). The warrior experienced the bug but not the thief. Just confirming it is still bugged and seemingly only for the warrior version.

I have an older warrior character who successfully completed the quest on 10 March 2024 according to the quest history. Something seems to have broken between then and July 25 2024. I'm not sure if this information can help identify the cause.
