Currently using sorc elixirs since the cost to mp ratio is so good, but the pet auto mp function doesn't activate frequently enough to keep me alive unless I'm constantly telecasting. Is it time to just eat the costs and buy sunrise/sunset dews?

    Sincerely,
    a lvl 128 bishop

What do you mean with "the pet auto mp function doesn't activate frequently enough"?
Just move the slider in settings?

From what I remember, one cast of genesis will only activate a single use of an MP pot. Getting hit or casting another skill will activate another pot.

I mainly use elixirs and power elixers when leeching/farming

Oh lol, never realised this. I guess you don't live a hit after gene? If you do live 1 hit, you could try using watermelons as hp-pot. Or you can try to set both your auto-hp and -mp to elixirs, idk if that'll make it trigger twice.

Alternatively, you could switch to ulu1/2 or Galloperas to gain some levels.

If that doesn't work either, I guess just eat the costs. The price of pots is marginal compared to gains at skele's

Generally, if you have above 13-14k mp, you should use elixers.
Otherwise, you should use sunset/sunrise dew.
But do note, that's only assuming you're buying the dews from players. If you buy them from the store, just go for elixers.

Switch to elixirs/power elixirs once you get enough mp to get a >1:1 ratio in terms of MP healed/meso spent. Since elixirs cost around 8000, this would be at around 16k mp. If you want to keep using Sorcerer Elixirs, consider manually potting as well. Just put your pots on a conventient hotkey and spam press it every so often. You can also use another character to run daily bosses with, which results in quite a bit of sunset dews/elixirs/PE accumulated over time. I saved up so many pots just from running dailies with my DK that I've never had to buy pots for my mages, even though I quad farm.
