So I joined this server as the Red Envelope event was coming to an end. Man do I wish I was a bishop when they dropped..but anyways. I have thought about this a few times and can't help but feel like it would be a decent idea for a "red envelope" type event (an event in which NX is a possible reward from some monster dropped item) to be around more often, such as one week a month. I personally think white scrolls going for a rate of 370m is obscene and think this would help lower some of the over inflated items and allow more weapons/rarer items to be brought into the market. My main view is the effect it would have on chaos/white scrolls. As of right now, if you are paying 350m for all of your white scrolls (which you won't be, 360-365 is more likely), then you are paying 24.5b in white scrolls to 10% a weapon of your choice assuming you hit the average. God forbid you have bad luck and you rack up 30-35b in white scroll costs alone. With 24.5b average white scroll cost (not counting the weapon/item itself) you would need to sell leech for approximately 326 hours, or 13+ straight, entire days, to afford a perfect weapon using an average of 75m/hr in profit from leeching as a bishop. I realize it should never be easy to get or make these items. But 25b on average? I feel like a routine red envelope event at certain time periods could help this. Thoughts?
TLR Chaos and white scrolls seem to be overinflated. Red envelope type events more often would help this. Thoughts?
I'd rather this be an exclusive event. If this were to pass, what's to stop people from asking for a constant flow of other event exclusive items/events like Maple Scarves or Gelt Chocolates. Take advantage of this event next year.
Well, nothing. I just figured it would be a way to avoid over inflation of prices on things like chaos and white scrolls. I'm looking at it in more of a "let's keep the price of chaos/ws from going through the roof" instead of a "i want to get nx from monsters or have envelopes drop that I can sell for 2m each"
If people wanted to maintain a stable prices for White/Chaos Scrolls, there would be an NPC that would sell them for a static price, which I have suggest and ultimately shut down.
Just deal with it. People who are in the process of perfecting a weapon know the pain and the people who perfected things definitely know the horror, but they have all just dealt with it. If you think that White Scrolls or Chaos Scrolls cost too much, just figure out ways to get more mesos. The process is supposed to be long and painstaking so that people who have accomplished this difficult feat can take pride in it. Overinflated or not, just find a way to cope with it, instead of posting a thread complaining about how things are.
when ********** came into the game, ws and chaos went up to 400m, people seem to think that 400m should be the natural price, when in reality tons of chaos/white scrolls come into the game daily. 400m is ridiculous and people will realize that eventually. I would also like to point out that leech prices has increased a lot over the past couple months. So if leech is your way of making money, quit complaining please.
Eli has recently told me I should start selling leech to fund my AP Reset madness for Bacons. But I have decided I'm gonna solo Zakum and get twenty Genesis 20.
Selling leech is not the only way to make money. I don't think a red envelope event once a week is needed for someone to make enough to consider making a perfect weapon. Making money in this game is only a matter of time. If you're smart about allocating your resources, are active enough to follow market prices, grind hard, and have a fairly stable cash flow through gacha, you'll make enough money. But it will take a long time to get enough to perfect a weapon, even if you hit the gacha jackpot a few times. And it should take time (in my opinion White Scrolls are completely broken, but that discussion could have its own thread). Making a perfect weapon should not be easy, not even close. It should be hard, and by that I mean it should take time.
Don't listen to Eli. I don't sell leech and I'm not having a hard time getting money for AP resets. Don't torture youself!
everybody is here talking about gaching white scrolls and chaos scrolls, and im just here trying to gach a +6 str maple leaf 140 tickets and counting
Why stop at +6? Aim for +11 at Showa and finally get that 104 Attack Sky Ski so @danman can rest in peace.
i feel like with the shit luck i have at gach (never gached a WS/chaos ever in my 4 months here), i should never expect something as good as a 11 str maple leaf or a 99 atk ski, let alone a 104
