    I have been gone for quite some time and have redownloaded the newest version of the game, but every time i select a character to login with, my game crashes. I am at a loss for what I can do atm.

    I am actually yes. I had a feeling that would be the problem. DO I simply turn it off?

    You would have to uninstall Nord VPN, it has a fake MAC address

    If you do not wish to uninstall it, you have to contact Nord for steps on how to disable the fake MAC address
