Hello guys, Maybe some of you are struggling with follow scenario with a high screen resolution monitor which resolution is 2K or higher: Press Alt+Enter and went to full screen unexpectedly, when press the hot key again, the game window turned out to be definitely small and you cannot even see the content. Spoiler: screenshot I know one workaround is to rename the game folder, and once this happened, you will need to rename the game folder again and again. Now after researching for a long time, I found this should be caused by the high DPI Compat resolution. You can find configuration with the following registry key: Spoiler: reg key location HKCU:\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers After deleting the key or change the key value to 'DWM8And16BitMitigation', the game window back to normal!!! Cool find! I sometimes get stuck on black screen after accidentally going full screen and then trying to go back to window mode, and after that all I can do is restart my pc since nothing can come to the foreground over the mapleroyals client.. Does that fix this issue too?
Well changing folder name seems still faster than regedit I hope there's a way to prevent the compatibility assistant changing my DPI setting permanently when I accidently pressed alt+enter but I have yet found one.
Just change the key value to 'DWM8And16BitMitigation', as I tested, it won't back to mini size after full screen
I tested that before the reply and it didn't work for me, may I ask your Windows11 version? I'm gussing that compatibility assistant is removed in newer version
