Just wondering if it would be possible to add cheaper or easier obtainable AP reset scrolls. It is very hard with only 7,5k NX/Day. :/ I know we talked about this before but I have thought about it again it is kind of impossible (In my case now) to reach any bossing ability as a Warrior below lvl 200 (or a half year of only buying daily AP resets) without beeing able to properly wash/reset AP. I'm pretty sure alot of other people would be happy about easier AP resets, too.
I am in agreement, it's difficult/takes a long time to HP wash/MP wash/reset stats to 4 for dex/str/luk-less jobs atm. Cheaper AP resets would make everyone, or at least quite a lot of people happier.
See, I feel like I'm leaning more towards disagreement. I was always under the impression that HP washing wasn't meant to be an easy/cheap thing to do... But hey I'm not 'playing' the game right now so I guess I don't see how it feels for you guys completely.
You're right to a certain extent I guess, but back in the day the kind of people who HP washed were either spending LOTS of money on NX or buying lots of it with mesos, since we can't overcharge NX with the vote system, and there's not really much oppurtunity to buy AP resets off people in such a small server. The difference is how long it takes imo.
Okay I suppose you have a point about in GMS you could just charge as much as you want but here it is just 7.5k + whatever u find that day. So I guess there are limitations to it in comparison to GMS. So fair point.
I think a full AP reset would be a terrible idea, that makes the game far too easy, and thats something afaik Matt did not want out of this. Just remember HP washing is an OPTION not COMPULSORY... So AP resets shouldnt just be given to you. If you like make them 2.5k each other something then that aint too bad. Or come to a fair price to buy with mesos in a store. Full AP reset would be a no no though, just my opinion.
I'm unable to change cash shop prices as far as I know. It would have to be an NPC that would sell it for either NX or Mesos. Nobody mentioned a full AP reset Jodey, I totally agree on that there should definitely not be a full AP reset.
Maybe we could let them drop from mobs, too? This way the people who don't need them could sell them and they could be keeped in the CS for the same price as additional thing.
I don't think AP reset as a drop is a good idea. I do agree on a lowered price. (but I wouldn't decrease it more than 1 k nx though) Washing is a big part of the game, and especially w/o much equipment and scrolls going around at the moment it should be encouraged. Currently every single job (apart from mages) in the game could use washing and imo should wash. Especially the people who are really trying to build their character. Normally I wouldn't mind the regular price, but it's not about 10 or 20 AP resets. It's more like 100+ for some people, keeping that in mind 3,1k/reset might just be a little too expensive. If you lower the price by let's say 1k nx, it would still be a challenge to get all the needed resets. But it won't 'seem' almost impossible. Also I think this would be nice for people who started out with adding points in their second stat (AP), but would like to wash that out now since they have better equipment. I think a NPC who sells them for a lowered price would be the best option.
HP washing isn't the only use for AP resets y'know. Personally I usually play classes where I start out normal stats, and then at level 64 I become LUKless/STRless/DEXless. Then reset back to normal at a much higher level. It's just a habit I got, I know it's not necessary but I think it's fun. That costs a lot of AP resets and impossible with their current price. Also I don't think HP washing makes the game easier at all. If I HP washed my Hunter I am pretty sure Bigfoot would still 1hit him anyways for example. Also the server is 10x and everybody is low level. Usually when you are HP washing you have to get people to leech you because it's hard as hell to train when all your points are in INT. I doubt people will HP wash for many levels here for that reason, so it will only give a small amount of HP. I think it's a good idea to lower their price.
Yeah to change prices I'm pretty sure you'll need to edit the wz's which is just annoying for players as well. I never HP wash so I don't really know what it's like but I think having an actual nx shop (where you can buy stuff with mesos) is a good idea. You could put megaphones in there, ap resets and other nx in there. Finding a good price for AP resets would be tough though and it might have to change as the server grows for balancing. Another option is having very few mobs drop them. maybe ~lvl 120 bosses. I'd say the monsters that drop them or bosses should be around the lvl most people start hp washing or a bit higher. Pianus, papulatus manon and griffey would be good mobs i think to drop them. This would add a bit more fun to the game and a farming aspect which is fun to some people. Why don't we have both? an nx shop and bosses that drop stuff like that. < That's my opinion
