Hi, I have a level 136 bishop and I think it's time to open a new player but I don't know what to choose !! So I decided to check what our community thinks, from your experience, which job do you enjoy the most? And in addition, are there jobs whose gear is cheaper than the others?
My main chars are: DK, as my first 200 I am defo enjoying it. Think it's one of the best chars to get to first 200. Very strong at most daily/solo content and also for very commonly ran content such as Zakum and Shao. Price: Medium. IL mage, lvl 187 (iirc), I find it fun. Tho, as there are like 5 of us on the server. Do not recommend. Price: Very high - as there is no end-game mage gear market. It's all self scroll with very little resell value. BM, 160-something, I despise playing the class. However, they are good Chao mules and you can dual wield Tinder while soloing Krex. Some people love it, some don't (me). Damage is not too great but SE allows you to go bossing naked with 200 Base INT and an unscrolled Maple Bow Price: Medium NL, lvl 158. I play this as an Ironman (no party, no trade challenge). It made me fall in love with the game again. They're a blast to play. One of the few good/enjoyable 1st, 2nd and 3rth job. Their mobility is the best in the game. Price: Thieves have always been one of the most expensive classes to gear, also they are pretty much the only class that "needs" a buff, SE. You pretty much need to mule them yourself. Islander, lvl 60. The grind is the game. Price: nothing. Cheaper Classes are: MM Corsair? Axe Hero, damage is just very slightly below swords. Tho Axes and their scrolls are basically free. BW Pally also has very cheap scrolls to use.
Hi, First of all, thank you very much for the detailed explanation, it helped me a lot. Have you ever played with shadower before?
I have not played one (yet) Shads are considered by most the best class in the game. They have very good single and multi target DPS and provide a very good support ability, Smoke Screen. Also they need no other buff to excel and often the best class to add to a Shad-Party is another Shad. Being a thief and currently one of the most popular classes to play might cause them to also be the most expensive one to gear (for end-game). I do have to note that "price of a class" really means nothing until well into mid-game (lvl 170/180+). On a low budget you'll find similar valued gear for any class. Shads being so popular might even make their low-end market more appealing since many are trying to make better gear and sell off all their "failed" projects. Allowing you to easily pick up your starting gear. Don't take my words for truth here tho. I am not a Shad main or by any means an expert on the price of gearing one.
I like shadowers a lot. They are very popular at any end-game content. Number one class at tanking since it has many defensive skills so its fun to always SED at horntail. Very expensive tho, but if you can afford a 10-15k+ HP Shad you will enjoy it a lot!
Hi, wanted to ask a question in response to what you said directly - i'm currently levelling a cleric to earn some money, and i'd like to play a dexless bandit.. get it as well funded as I can and have a blast with it. My only concern is how reliant I may need to be on meso explosion. Can CB/Shadowers boss okay with out it? I don't mind using it every now and then but firstly I don't want to be spending loads of money just to do damage with an ability, and secondly I find that boring, I'd rather use more combat orientated abilities.. savage blow, boomerang step, and whatever else.. Surely it won't be much different from me rocking up with any other class which doesn't have meso explosion and doing damage with my normal abilities?.. Thanks
Meso Explosion is a niche skill for sepcific situations. Big Foot is an example that it is often named as a good target as you can kill it on a very low level. I assume the cost is worth the gains as the exp is insane. It does fall off in 4rth Job. There is some minor niche use like when your CR DC's at Zak. I have seen some very hard tech-skill before, allowing you to drop in between attacks. Tho it has been a long time that I have seen someone seriously use it. It is really not worth to worry about its fairly insignificant cost. You can either spend 10m on attack pots or on Meso Explosion. tl;dr Its a tool you can use, a good one. Spending meso to attack might sound costly but it's really no big deal at all.
Hi, My favorite job is Night Lord and I even have one level 117 but when I started I didn't know about the Hp Wash issue and I have 3k-3.5k Hp and I just wasted time and filling NOOB because you need a lot of hp to do late game boss. So I went for something I don't usually do and that's Warrior, I asked several people in the game what they thought and they recommended Paladin, I'm currently level 89 and really enjoying it!! I have Bishop level 150 and I'm doing Leech for myself and that's how I save money. In addition I have Beginner level 112 just for fun. I recommend you read about hp wash so that what happened to me does not happen to you - https://royals.ms/forum/threads/fully-revised-hp-washing-guide.8286/
