Hi I'm saving up + getting equips ready to play a dexless bandit and was looking for advice. Basically on two things. 1) Is it viable to play 100% luk? No str, no dex and have a strong 0 stat requirement dagger for end game? I've seen a few guides recommend going Str bandit for the khanjar, but if I got a really good Watk maple shield would that suffice? I'm not looking to 'min/max' my bandit just have a good mix of being strong and simple lol. It seems counter intuitive to have to change luk equips to dex just to equip a khanjar. I guess it must be stronger as people do it but is the difference really THAT important? Could I skip it and focus on luk? Also i'm spending quite a bit on good equips, it would be a shame if I hit level 7x and suddenly i have to start thinking about unequipping them and not using them again! 2) Items. So far I have a 12 atk WG, and 26 luk bathrobe. I'm going to make sure I have money to get a Zhelm as soon as I hit 50. I was considering some luk earrings next, and some sort of attack shield/cape. Some sort of Str/high Watk maple shield as I don't think a luk/Watk shield is a thing?.. Thanks!
Most bandits are dexless until they reach lv120 because that is optimal. Once you reach that point, you'll already have a 30+ dex zhelm and can buy a HTP, and also probably have 10+ dex earring and some amount of dex from random stuff like rudolph's nose, valentine ring, blue belt, and ellin forest guardian. You may not even need to add dex or str to wear d.khanjar, which is indeed worth switching over from LUK to DEX equips in order to wear. basically, you can be dexless or almost-dexless and still equip GDK and d.khanjar. Do not add dex or str until you are somewhere past lv100, have bought your starter endgame equips, and they don't add up to 75 STR 150 DEX (while also factoring in the 20 allstat HTP you'll be getting)
its not viable to be at the end game with only a maple weapon and pure luk. but as you get stronger you would be able to become pretty much pure luk and get all of your str/dex from gear. It is not easy to get all of that from gear but you can get there eventually.
I saw this a week late so hopefully it’s still relevant to you. 1) It takes a while to perfectly gear a shadower up with nice untradeables so you’ll be re-rolling for a while. The class is really strong so don’t worry about having to put some AP into dex or str you will still hit big numbers. I was not pure luk until after I hit 200 on my shadower. Dragon Khanjar is so much better than a maple shield so you’ll want to put some ap into other stats to equip that asap. A 30 attk maple shield is over 20b and a 30 attk Dragon Khanjar is like 500m. Dragon Khanjar comes clean with 1-8 luk on it but the actual attack scrolls will add str. 2) Your first goal at 120 should be to have enough dex through ap and helmet/earrings/rings/belt/ pendant to equip pirate top and bottom and hopefully the top and bottom have enough dex to get you the rest of the way to equipping your weapon and shield but if not then fill the rest in with dex or str ap. You can always reset it to luk later.
