Maybe try uploading to another site (or upload the video file directly if possible)? A lot of older Royals videos were unavailable anyway due to strikes.

 

I agree and think both are valid alternatives, and I've considered another platform or possibly embedding videos on some other domain. Perhaps that's something all would be players looking to create content should look into; migrating to another site entirely, seeing as how Youtube appears to be an inhospitable environment to share such videos.

But I think there are some nuances to be considered, like migrating an already extant viewer base to another platform entirely, how to orchestrate such a thing, and having them be willing to do so, in spite of any individual platform preferences they may have. And, I don't think there are many equal alternatives in regards to the inherent accessibility and built-in content creation functions that Youtube possesses when building an audience to entertain, which I think would appeal to anyone wanting to share their videos. Daziunda LLC has also been known to still manage at locating these videos on those alternate platforms and issuing the DMCA strikes that they're famous for.

But, I suppose the point I was trying to convey is that what upsets me is not so much my inability to entertain my audience. But what has happened to other creators, some of whom are my friends, and that they've lost their platform entirely along with countless hours of work. A lot of heart went into their creations, and that's what hurts the most.

Non of my videos had maple or royals in the title or description, it’s just like “ws+10% part 2” or “Corsair rose garden”. They all got hit.

 

If you search for this Daziunda guy, he has an entire site that contains a list of things he claims he can do for the these gaming companies. All of which is embarrassing to read when you consider this is one person willing to work alongside massive corporations to put the boot down onto small communities of people and then acts like he's the good guy. One of the things he claims to do is below and it had me laugh my ass off at the complete absurdity of what he says.



"Yes, hello faceless amoral multi billion dollar corporation that prefers profit over people. Yep that's him, that's the guy who created a private server of your now 19 year old 2d side scrolling video game. A game that involves killing mushrooms, pigs and slimes. A game that captured the hearts and minds of countless millions of kids and adults alike, and now those kids and adults want to relive those periods that once made them happy. A game where the whole premise is getting more items to be able to kill things faster to get more powerful items to kill more things more faster, all the while playing with friends who all have better luck than you. Give him a second chance? Nah, not for this guy. He's sick. He should be in prison. It's not that fact he made a private server of the game, its that he chose a version of that game that has a class in it that had actually been released closer to the release of classes that most people would consider "new school" than to when the original 4 classes were released. Yup and then he called that newer class "classic" and advertised his server as "old school". Yeah Pirates. They were actually released 3 years after the original classes were released. Yet within 2 years of pirates being released, Cygnus Knights, Aran, Evan, Dual Blades, and a whole other group of classes called Resistance were all added, the latter being released after a major patch that you added to the game that completely robbed it of so much of the charm it once had, changing it forever and killing the game to many people believing you ruined the game forever after. Guy actually tried to call his server "old school" with Pirates in it, just unforgivable."

All joking aside (ily Matt I have no problem with Pirates, thank you for giving all of us this place to come play) this Daziunda guy is a huge narcissist based off how i read everything on his site, so we're talking ultra mega supreme loser levels of Corporate bootlicker here.
