    Why do you think you got banned?: My cousin has been providing me leech, so this may have been misonstrued as account sharing. We live in the same house and share an IP address. We have even submitted proof of same IP so we could both vote on our separate accounts.

    Hello,

    You have been banned for Account Sharing:

    Punishment: Permanent ban.

    Account Sharing - The act of sharing the use your account, sharing account information with any other individual, or the act of logging into or otherwise using an account owned by another person, with or without permission, regardless of whether or not the information was directly or indirectly shared.

    Account Sharing - This rule was altered in October of 2014 to respond to the growing number of people abusing the ability to share accounts for a variety of purposes that we deemed unacceptable. Eight scenarios for which account sharing will be considered an immediate permanent ban are the following:
    1. Using power-levelling services;
    2. Two or more people taking turns in levelling up a character (i.e. training);
    3. Logging onto someone else's character in order to leech your own;
    4. Removing items from or deleting someone else's character;
    5. Giving an account with a high-levelled character on it to someone else;
    6. Committing a bannable offence (other than just account sharing) on someone else's account;
    7. Wasting Staff time by lying about the account sharing;
    8. Sharing your account details with multiple people.
    In any other situations, the default punishment will be a 30 day ban and potentially a reversal of actions taken during the share, however, this is still subject to Staff discretion and the involved parties may face a permanent ban regardless of their situation not being listed above. Finally, the use of the same account information as other locations such as your personal social medias or any other game servers does not violate this rule, however, any individuals who access your account on the basis of knowledge of account information in other places does. You are responsible for the privacy of your own account information.

    Account Sharing also includes having two different people's accounts open at the same time on the same computer. Whether or not you actually played on your cousin's account while yours was open, or vice versa, the fact that your cousin's account and your account were open on the same computer at the same time is considered account sharing. The number of these instances were numerous, and the Admins issued a Major Account Sharing ban because of you and your cousins actions.

    I understand the infraction and I apologize for not more clearly understanding this rule. It would not happen again in the future. Could we appeal for a 30 day ban because of the nature of the situation?

    You may wish to elaborate on the need for the said "account sharing"

    My cousin’s computer has been broken and he hasn’t been able to play on his own. So I would log into my account into my computer when he would play, and sometimes just take turns playing. He is in the process of getting another computer, so he can refrain from playing on my computer until he gets his own, regardless if that is after the ban period.

    It's okay to share a PC (as long as the players don't log in at the same time)

    The above response does not explain the need for what you guys did
    "your cousin's account and your account were open on the same computer at the same time"

    He would provide me with leech while we were logged in on the same computer. To elaborate more, we hang out and play games together, so one of us is on maple while the other is playing a console or something. He figured he could help me level until he gets his computer.

    May you please consider a 30 day ban because of the nature of this. We just wanted to continue playing and for me to not fall further behind. My cousin is still the one providing me leech, which he is doing on his own volition. I understand that the nature of having both accounts running on the same computer is not allowed, so we will refrain until we are able to play again separately. We love this game and this server and will do whatever is necessary to play again.

    Nobody logged on to anybody else’s account. I would log into my own account and he would log into his. We kept our information to ourselves.

    We literally live together and will both log in on the same computer. We specifically didn’t want to share eachothers info to avoid anything like this. I would log in and travel to the same location as my cousin would. I understand now that this violates the account sharing rules, but this scenario does not violate one of the 8 permaban reasons.

    You seem to be responding pretty quick when you have an answer for me. Please give me the respect of telling me you’re perma-banning me, don’t leave me in limbo.
    And then please update the perma-ban scenarios to reflect the nature of my and my cousin’s infraction.
    I understand that this is a private server and not a government, but me and my cousin would should NOT under the conditions of a perma-ban yet you are punishing us as such. I am very understanding of a 30-day ban, a 90-day ban, or even a year long ban is fine with us. But to excise us from this server permanently due to an infraction not listed as worthy of a perma-ban is unfair. Again, it’s a private server, but I would only hope for consistency, fairness, and empathy.

    Will be locking this thread due to the spamming

    Your latest replies did not explain the need of having to log in on the same PC - you guys were account-sharing in a manner described in Scenario 3
