With the new source coming up I'd like to see drastic balance changes to grinding spots

Ehm the point of the thread is having some diversity, not omg I can't get 200 in 5 minutes.
The server is a nostalgic server not simply V.62.

I don't consider V.134 balanced.

 

To each their own. Why not work on existing dead content and look to improve? It gives a sense that us as a community brought and suggested this change because that's what I really believe makes a server successful.

 

You know what would be sweeeet and/or perfect? Analytics for MapleRoyals. Exp/hour tracking and stats on map usage.

Also, are these .wz edits or server files? If they're server edits, what about having trial periods for certain monster/map changes? Get some feedback, if it's successful, expand to more areas?

 

They do have something like that for Runescape, which I'm a big fan of, but it's a third party add on. I've never seen a killcount/XP tracker that you can freely turn on and off during any version of Maplestory, so it's doubtful this will be a thing.

I agree with Emrah, this would be a really nice change, and the game will be much more interesting with other training maps ^^

 

What's the developer perspective on implementing analytics? I'm into web dev, but I have no idea what royals is like on the backend.

Yeah! I'd like to see KFT and Omega Sector being used too.. I love KFT.

 

KFT is actually a good place to train from 50-60 (samiho's)

 

This. For example, while some people might train there with their bowmen, I personally tried to avoid GS2 the majority of the time, unless being asked to train there. I trained at places more fit for a ranged class (using arrow bomb), and it worked just fine. I can't say I leveled much slower than people in my buddy list of comparable level who stuck to GS2...

 

i'd personally love to see windraiders become an alternative spot. was great grinding for 1v1 dps classes and cause gs2 is better accustomed to mobbing classes

 

GS2 is still a good place to use Arrow Bomb if you stand in the middle of the stairs and bomb away. You should be able to hit the middle of both rows. I've never tried it , but I've seen it before and it looked pretty effective.
