bezeq ISP costumer constantly DCing in changing intervals starting yesterday

    Hey!

    following the conversation with @Dave Deviluke on discord, providing the details i've come up with communicating with bezeq as for the constant DCs i'm experiencing:

    Starting yesterday, me and other bezeq customers are experiencing constant DCs from an unknown reason.
    Other israeli ISP customers don't seem to share this issue with us since they report stable connections - hence we assume this is an ISP related issue.
    Gonna provide the process i've gone through so far with last section describing what bezeq asked me to ask of royals.
    • Bezeq customers have reported getting constantly DCing in changing intervals
    • Restarting the router / reinstalling the game files doesn't seem to fix the issue
    • Sniffing the packets showing that there are TCP retransmissions going on that eventually cause a connection RESET and a DC (picture attached below)
    • Bezeq themselves claim there are no issues whatsoever regarding blockings of maple royals (i've been talking to them myself and they ruled out blocking issues as a problem)
      • Bezeq are now checking maple royals IP as I provided though they were very much certain there shouldn't be any issue
      • Bezeq asked me to provide my own personal IP to one of the staff so that they could check on their side if any connection blocks are caused by the server, and treat myself as a representative IP of bezeqs customers.
      • I've forwarded my own IP to @Dave Deviluke
    Additional information:
    After getting the DC I can sometimes log in right away, and sometimes I will have to wait for a few seconds - minutes (changing).

    been experiencing the same issue and since today its been much worse. after logging in, the game will freeze on my chosen character and will then proceed to dc. (its now instant instead of random every 30 minutes or so).

    Just here to say as far as I'm aware many CHT users from taiwan also have the same dc issue since about the same time as OP describing

    Updating for your well being.
    I’m still looking into it, but couple of things we must be aware of:
    1. Bezeq is the main provider of our country, and since we had seen throttling on the web before following military operations we cannot be certain that this won’t just be solved on it’s own on the next few hours / days - simple as that
    2. Monitoring the network shows greater traffic starting around the day we experienced those DCs which might explain something’s going on
    3. Windows size is incredibly huge when DCs occure (might also be avg but i’ve seen some weird packets of irregular windows sizes which is also unusual)
    4. Bezeq deny any blockings on royals
    5. Some bezeq users do not report any DC issues so we can conclude that it’s a somewhat regional issue (regional in terms of routing / network devices and not geographically)
    6. Other israeli ISP customers do not seem to experience those DCs which confuses me as for whether Partner ISP which is running on the same infrastructure as bezeq should’ve been having the same issues
    7. Network devices are the main difference between Partner & bezeq so we can assume there’s something going on with specific bezeq devices
    8. If anyone is itchy about playing - VPN should be a suitable solution for the time being, though untested by myself and costs money
    9. There was a claim that people from taiwan also experiencing such DCs - if that does not fall under the “individual cases” then we’re talking about a royals issue but i’m setting this aside for now - devs have checked and deemed it irrelevant

    You're high if you think I care enough to try and get attention.
    Bezeq are known as a shit internet provider and I'm not surprised they cause issues within the game connection.
    As I said - time to change ISP, not only you, but everyone else here.
    Glad to see you are changing ISP's, no need to be hostile for no reason.

    Bezeq have their devs checking royals in particular, they got all the images from the packets sniffing process and promised to get back to me in a day / two.

    Still didn’t get any updates from bezeq, guess it was weekend and they don’t work on such matters. i’ll be contacting them tomorrow and leave an update here.

    The matter is still under investigation on their side, the reason for the disconnections is still unclear but they said their devs are looking into the provided packets and try to pinpoint it’s cause. Frustrating as it is, we’ll need to gather up a little more patience.
