Burning Energy into HP

    First, there needs to be late/end game/lvl 200 only HP content that isn't bees. The bee hp conversion is also insulting and needs buffed bc the classes that might get use from it, farm a lot less bees during their RG daily. Those are different topics, but in general, more HP content is needed if VL is already locked for so many players, and an altogether harder boss, PB, is on the way. Unless more HP content is also on the horizon, we need to discuss more organic in game HP methods in the server (that isn't an ancient exploit that causes a cascade of even more things I take issue with here)


    1 stack BE into, let's say for fun, 250 HP. I have 11k BE I've been holding onto because it does have value, but I don't VL bc VL is HP locked content to me and most players (also taking up a lot of space). I don't think the exchange rate below 200 hp would be worth converting time-wise, so 200 would be the lowest I suggest. 300 would be excellent, but it could be much higher to begin with, like 500 and have diminishing returns, or the total hp you can gain from them could be capped at say 3k total.

    3-4k total HP from BE would be ideal for unwashed, but 1-2k is probably more likely knowing staff, although more than 4k HP would be worth considering since collecting it is not simple, you need a LHC party or a lucky king golem card drop to keep grinding energy.

    Sacrificing BE to HP also forces a choice and still gives washers advantage

    Idk, does this have any potential?

    I don't like this idea at all.
    HP isn't that hard to get now, you got 3 quests for it, ideally more options would be added, but they should be something you do specifically to get HP.
    Burning energy is something you just get from doing LHC, it shouldn't just be converted into HP.
    In my opinion, HP content should be something that is only done for HP content.

    At 192 I have 13.6k hp. I've grinded ruel hard, did Olaf 9, have all the rings, pets (fix the snail invisible bow please), and the amazing collector medal. I'm still nearly 4k shy of VL. Legendary collector, which I've done on another char which is extremely time consuming, will only give me an extra 750, and I'll still need 3k+ HP.

    The conceit/trade off here is that I could turn this useless item in for HP to be able to run, but then not have that item for crafting, and need to farm a lot more.

    The item is useless for folks who can't go, and it's untradable. Specifically making hp content only raise hp isn't an argument either, lots of content mixes together and runs along side it or raises it as well, making it exclusive content is also not ideal either bc it means people are locked grinding hp content instead of other things they may want to do, this is a game after all, there's no reason hp content needs to be exclusive items and isolated quests, it also saves devs time. That's not really an argument that makes sense outside of itself, it's an arbitrary self imposed thing. Like tokens of teamwork could have a high token tag item that gives HP. Easy HP content plugin, doesn't need to be exclusive.

    The bigger question for the server is, if the PB requirement is higher than VL, what HP content will be made available for players? Bc if there isn't any, the rich in this server get richer.

    If there isn't more HP content, then PB is unwelcome content. PB only serves a small minority of players, who are also obscenely wealthy, and will only get more so bc only they can run and only they will benefit, it's totally pointless for most of the server

    I don't know what to tell you, my bm got 19k hp and I don't event play it a lot, it just takes a few months of raul and do the rest of the quests once.
    And to clarify, I am not saying additional methods to get HP are a bad idea, I am saying this one is.

    Did you already crafted a perfect ifia ring? Those ring boxes cost me tons of burning energy.

    Not worth to me vs totems. Ifia is only 100ish HP, and BE's are more valuable as crafting or hp items than gambling them into nothing vs huge lhc gach pulls. That tight of min/maxing is just not worth the ROI for archers damage formula imo, gach liquid can improve att cgs which is better on the formula, and can be traded on other chars as well

    could you share a screenshot of your current hp/mp? Archer here too and didnt recall having that low hp.

    i remember having 14k hp when VL came out and did 4months of hp quest for it (This was before olaf came out)
    I also did quite a bit of hp quests before but considering you finished all available hp gains from Olaf (Stage9) you should not be having only 13.6k hp.

    do check though i could very well be wrong on these info off the top of my head

    I've probably grinded over 2k hp from ruel or close. I'm not soft softcapped yet, but it's still far off from 18k, that will take a long time strictly from ruel.

    Beyond that and the topic suggestion, in general, I think specifically very high levels or 200 only HP content is a good idea. Hitting 200 isn't a cake walk, especially for unwashed folks, who are gated far beyond or level much slower than folks who wash.

    200 gives all players, washed or unwashed, a good tier to sit on for something like higher reward ruel quests, or suggestions like burning energy, if players don't need BE or aren't crafting, since some people farm it and provide craft service

    Just softcapped ruel at 13,763 hp.

    Olaf 9, spring, amazing collector (250hp) 1440 hp from equips (1540 if staff fixes the transparent bow that says it can be equipped by snail, which is of course bugged and can be fixed in a few clicks).

    At 192 with 8 more levels, and Olaf 10 left (which is a highly unlikely completion), and only 750 hp from legendary collector which time/commitment wise is arguably harder than any other medal and more time consuming than any commitment in the server by far and shouldn't be factored in potential hp totals bc of this, amazing collector (+250) should be the casual tally, with a massive time sink caveat of master/legendary

    I Could spend 102 apr to only convert 1.6hp from an mp wash from casually wearing eq that had int on, but it isn't something anyone should have to do, is the point.

    But all of that would still be below 18k

    that shared, this particular suggestion is just an idea. It's easy to implement and it's all right there. You can collect BE for 50 straight levels and not use them bc you can't VL, and bc the ring box is a scam, and ring does little in terms of HP,--which is the topic here.

    it's an idea for broader conceptual, higher level hp gains, bc that's what players need, and what we should be talking about. Liking the BE into HP idea or not, it's still valid for a lot of reasons in the thread, but additional gains need to be implemented, otherwise the staff has their priorities mixed up releasing another super boss out of reach for people who still cant access the last super boss and don't want to use sanctioned exploit metas to access them

    Olaf/ruel need to be separated, for sure, and ruels cap should be raised until higher level/more hp content is released

    BE = HP also works as I've said, because they're useless unless you can VL with certainty (praying for HB for a once a week chsnce not realistic, please show me all the unwashed characters that staff play and the unwashed VL staff expedition footage), and the ring exchange is a terrible time/material sink. The classes who need the hp average 10 bees in one run, so it takes three hours over the course of 4 days to get enough powder to then gamble on the box, which also costs 200 energy. The BE as a requirement is arbitrary in your case, since you can't spend BE on anything else. It either takes up a lot of space, or you spend a tiny bit every 4 days on something that will not help your HP.

    It's poised as a great choice for players, use it to open the HP gate, to at least finally access content, as a high level hp source (again I suggest this at 200 to be fair, since this takes away the potential xp reward for hoarding totems since 150, so they're just strictly rewarding hp and not also speeding up the amount of lvl 200 chars), instead of use it on crafting once you're able to access VL, simple clean access vs reward story

    I would rather be able to be able to do content, than not. I like doing auf even though i have no interest whatsoever in making the ridiculous helm, and despite being two-shot. Accessing VL this way diminishes my potential rewards though, as much as I would like to make my own quivers, I can't even go, and in this case, I would need more BE again.

    If you reach the soft cap of reuel’s daily hp quest you have 9.5k
    With olaf (correct me if i am wrong) you get 3-4k? That shld bring your hp to 12-13k

    with hp equips (3pets = 150hpx3): 450
    Black belt: 500
    Ifia ring:100
    2carat ring:150
    Gold leaf pendant :250 (this is almost a perm eq so it should be in the tally)
    Mon:300
    Rudolph nose:50(?)
    Bfc:125
    Medal:250
    Ellinia hp quest: 500
    Spending 1b to wash any excess mp: 1.6khp

    your hp should be at least 13-14k+ 2k+hp from the above eqs putting you at 15-16k, 17-18k if you wash excess mp

    just do reuels for two months and you are good to go.

    Can also scroll a perf auf for extra 800hp if you got the funds

    It's 13.7 including all eq (1.4k, 1.6 if i wanted from pets). Olaf 1-9, spring done, ruel softcap. Repeatedly asking about my equips or talking about all the obvious HP quests isn't the issue, I already did everything on my MM.
    Unless there is a glitch running between the olaf/ruel relationship from high tonic/chaos luck, "wash optional" is not a thing here, and in general, the ruel softcap should be raised by roughly 3k. If I was in range for an mp wash to send me comfortably over 18k I'd consider that, but I'm not

    The bigger issue here is, if PB is the same hp threshold as VL, or higher, this isn't "wash optional" for players, and there has been no mention of future HP content from staff. It's fine if this particular thread about turning a useless* item into HP if you can't access the content its used for isn't considered, as long as more is coming

    *yes I could turn in 200 BE, along with 40 bees, every 4 RG in four days if I wanted, but my ring is nice, it doesn't give more HP, and that's all my char needs

    exchanging BE for the RG hp potions is another option (even though it's basically the same suggestion). Even if it was 10 BE to 1hp exchange, I'd only transform 11k BE, which is a lot, into 1.1k hp

    If you know what good additional HP content is, then you should be posting that, instead of saying what isn't good (without saying why), because I'm interested in good content that will go through

    I said exactly why this is a bad idea, because people lhc for lhc, they shouldn't gain hp on the way.
    I don't have suggestions about actually good additional hp methods, one I heard of which I liked was allowing tokens of teamwork and let them be converted into hp somehow.
    The main difference from your idea is that pqs are dead while lhc is a daily content, so it will cause people to work in order to get HP (yes, getting hp shouldn't be easy, you should work for it, it's part of the class balancing).

    Everyone is for tokens being exchanged for HP that I've talked to, as well as on the forums, I'm 100% on board for that, it's a simple, obvious input. If I were pressed abt details, I again submit suggesting to make it a high level required potion, 150 or even higher, maybe 180-200 even, just to gate folks who can speed level and don't need the HP, but can afford to minmax casually, also because the spike shoe scroll is super valuable to everyone, and this gives a lot of failure room for spikes to land (took me 190 levels of praying for spike scroll, and trying them on my modest FS), but again also because high lvl required hp methods is healthier for commited players instead of simply for folks who don't need spikes, or anything else in the token exchange, gating it to higher levels ensures a commitment to the char. If the staff want to be squishier with the requirements or none at all, that's fine too, because folks will use it if it's available.

    I suggested BE because even if lhc is daily content (after 150, and RG 170), BE is still a non item in terms of crafting to anyone who doesn't meet hp requirement, no matter what level, 150-200. Also because the bee exchange is insulting because chars who need hp (unwashed ranged) can't collect bees nearly as effectively. Raising the bee hp potion worth significantly (but capping it's total hp reward) is also highly considerable.

    Making BE not give any HP transference if you are over 18k is also a consideration in the suggestion. But again this is still only VL specific. The larger issue is, which we have no info on is what pb, yet a other super boss, likely gated by hp, will require. Therefore this, tokens, or many other methods have to be top priority for staff, or this is all very shortsighted development

    You may think that you don't have good input, but anyone submitting ideas is better than not, but criticism without alternative good input is my biggest issue with this subforum. People love to pounce without something worth considering, and that kills threads and ambition of folks who may have a good idea but unsure how to communicate which negatively constrains folks being free form conceptually, which those comments or half ideas can often inspire or turn into an epiphany for others, even staff

    You do realize that when VL released, Matt (the server owner) only had 10k HP right? And he grinded reuel until he could run without HB. This was also before olaf existed, so he needed to grind 2-3k more off reuel than people now.

    My personal opinion is that a bit more (reasonable, not the RG exchange rates) high end content could use HP gains, but it shouldn't come nearly as free as you're suggesting - it should be something you aim for instead of passively get. I also think it's fine that most players don't have a use for burning energy; not every item needs to be useful to everyone.

    hi. what im saying is your hp should not be only 13.7k if you did all the above. soft cap for ranged classes is 9.5k and olaf1-9, spring of life, and 3 pets with pet eqs scrolled with hp should make your hp minimally 14.5k. (Excluding all other hp gears I listed above). Doing 1-2 months of hp quest for an end game boss is not too much to ask for imo. You could make me eat my words (which I would gladly do so) with a simple screenshot of the hp you currently have along with the equips so everyone can think of ways to help your situation.

    Trust me, I do want new players to get better access to hp without washing. I personally did hp quest to 30k unwashed so I know how much of a grind it can be. That being said, I don't want it to be something players get for free. Burning energy is not something people farm for. Its a by-product of another grind (LHC/RG) and should not be something used for further gain (+hp).
