oh i see, im actually playing from europe timezone so its kinda strange that i am able to do this macro very consistently. also when i tried to do triple combo with transformation cancel following this method i got kicked to the login screen, so i gave up on that.
Interesting, I couldn't replicate it without getting the message saying I can't use this skill, even when I clicked as fast as I could. I'll give it another test later.
First of all thank you for this guide, I've being playing bucc as main for the past 2 months follwing this guide was really helpfull. 2 Questions - 1- I've been trying to practice my transformation cancel to minmax dmg on bosses, my Super Transformation (most of the time) always ends it's CD together with the duration of the skill (that difficults a lot when trying to cancel manually the skill and etc..) lvling ST will increase the duration? or atleast the chance to get a 120sec transformation instead of a 60sec one? 2- Is there any tips in other to get 20 bees on RG (besides better cgs and lvl up)?
It needs to be lvl 11 for the 2 minutes duration. Do the first map for bonus, try to utilize the fact that you can attack multiple platforms at once and jump between them with corkscrew. Maybe some other people who run RG more often than myself can give you additional tips, but that's all I had to do to hit the bee cap easily. I might update the guide with a Rose Garden section in the future if I get the time to experiement/research it a bit more.
Hi, I am a brand new player. I'm looking for information on low level gearing. The link you posted is broken. Do you have a better link?
That guide is archived here: https://web.archive.org/web/2021120...east-buccaneer-guide-no-longer-updated.62268/
Hi, I just revisited this and I found it to work very well, there is just something I got wrong the last time I experiemented with this. I will test further and update the transform cancels section later (and credit you). Thank you so much!
Hey thank you for the guide! also for your dk guide Was looking around for skipable skills for a fully leeched bucc, since im leeching it to 130, I assume it wont "need" all the skills in the build you built. Could you please let me know which skills are just never being used after getting to 4th job? For example in first job I skipped somersault and flash fist in favor of dash just cause why not? a bit more speed at no cost
not much changes, just that you'd max dash over flash fist (which you already did) 2nd job is exactly the same in 3rd job you would max energy drain instead of shockwave
Hi everyone! The Transformation cancels section was revamped and is now a lot more simplified. - The suggested method only uses consistent cancel methods that can be replicated 100% of the time, no double cancels or macros that get your character stuck in place. - Added step by step explanation. - Gifs and videos were added for visual demonstration. I hope this helps some of you who want to play more efficient at the cost of some added effort. Thanks @Dock once again for the opener method, this works really well.
i'd support re-adding the double cancel information. this guide taught me how to do it at first, and i've been using it with no issues for almost 2 years
the streamable link for the video demonstration expired, ill re-record a more permanent video later and add it back
isnt the double cancel moot at this point? old method is barr+demo -> cancel transformation+barr -> cancel st+demo, new method skips the extra transformation barr+demo -> cancel st+barr+demo. saves a macro and requires 1 less cancel; i guess it's good to have options. on a personal note though ill still continue to double cancel bc i like seeing the two different colors of transformation lol its like im powering up xd also, with the bubble - if it's not charged and u want to cancel, the transformation skill icon moves to the second spot (unless ur fast enough to cancel in first slot before it moves) so can hover over 2nd spot for easier (and consistent) cancel with no bubble up
Great guide, been following it and had a smooth play experience. One small tip (maybe) that I found somewhat useful...... if you're in a guild, by using the "Spider Label Ring" , it pushes down your guild tag a little bit.... which helps locating myself when there are mobs of people and transformed Buccs that all look the same
i probably need to play with it more, but so far st + barrage + demo sometimes behaves weirdly for me (barrage doesn't always get automatically animation canceled) but yeah, this would definitely be more efficient and require one less macro (and magic rock)
Honestly I didn't know people used the double transformation method at all, I would leave it up under a spoiler if I knew it was being used. On paper, you are right and this makes the double transformation irrelevant. However, when trying to use this new method consistently (not only as an opener, but every 1 minute), I was having a hard time - I can do it, but the success rate is not 100%. On a higher ping, it is possible to hit it more consistently, but I can't test it myself. The old method had more steps and was a little "harder" to do mechanically, but it had no potential to fail if you replicated the steps correctly. For those reasons I thought I'd just remake the whole section and present a method that is easy to replicate with 100% success and without much added effort. I do intend to work on that section further and add more options though. Thanks for your feedback! That is one way to locate yourself when there are multiple transformed Buccs, however my favorite is forfeiting HP quest/having a bluish mineral in my inventory to get a light bulb above my head.
Hey Donnie! Was curious if the SP reset hp washing method was still working? Was visiting and rereading today. And in the cash shop it says it cannot be applied to other jobs?
The method works. You should do this as mentioned in the 2nd job skill build: With 1 point in from 2nd job into 1st job, you will have enough space within 2nd job to reset your HP skill to 0. That said, I do not recommend using this method with Olaf and HP quests existing in the game, it's not cost efficient.
When attacking Head A in HT, is there a reason not to use barr + DS instead of barr + demo? It will hit both head A and Head B (two targets = barr + DS does a tiny bit more dmg), and it's also kinda nice because it helps passively clear any wyverns that fly up. Or am I missing something? I know it's only a tiny dps difference, but your guide didn't mention it specifically so I've been wondering about this for a while.
The whole HT section is very outdated (written around the time this guide was released and hasn't been changed), a lot can and will be improve, hopefully soon... The correct method would be to alternate between barr+ds (when bubble is up, and no head is cancelled), and barr+demo when charging bubble again. The difference is very small though, so if you prefer not to pay this kind of attention in HT it's by no means mandatory.
